Nice Roomy Case

Chris D., Newegg
26 June 2015
  • Summary: I purchased this case for a dual video card setup as well as an open loop water cooling system and it sure does have enough room to do so.
  • Pros: -This is a great case. The super sleek design look really swanky and the brushed aluminum on the front door curbs my withdrawals. The frame is very high quality. No sharp edges or thin aluminum here. -The 3 1/2" and 5 1/4" bays are all tool-less, so slappin' in another HDD feels like reloading a ...
  • Cons: The only gripes I have about this case are: The tool-less "clamps" on the 5.25" bays translate vibration REALLY well which makes loud noises when reading CDs. The built-in fan control on the top of the case isn't variable. There are two settings, low and high. And there really isn't a difference ...

After nearly a year...

Shane M., Newegg

  • Summary: To Thermaltake- This case overall is a great case, but there are some engineering issues with this case you guys need to work out. I suggest getting a flow-bench, loading a case with what an average gaming machine requires, then watch what the air does inside the case around the individual parts.
  • Pros: This case is roomy, and the install of most any system should go with ease. The case does come with a 120mm in the rear and a couple of 200mm at the top and the bottom front of the case. The paint job on the case looks good and is fairly tough unlike many of the other cases I have built a gaming ...
  • Cons: This case does have its issues, and its something Thermaltake needs to address. The main negative about this case as others have mentioned is the front door. I have tried to slightly modify the front hinges with absolutely no success, (poor design, poor engineering, poor execution). My solution w...

Lack of information

Anonymous, Newegg
12 March 2015
  • Summary: The case is great, I love the overall design but there will be a little bit of shuffling parts around more than in most cases with this guys. Also, the door thing that other people have talked about has me concerned. Not too worried, just concerned.
  • Pros: +Roomy tower +Excellent cable management +Good airflow +Nice design +Hot swapping port is awesome (although I haven't used it yet) +Rugged, steel chassis +Did I say rugged? I mean RUGGED +Stock fans are pretty dang quiet Overall, really good case.
  • Cons: For my setup, I chose to get a Corsair H60 rather than a full 240 radiator because I wasn't going to overclock this system. It didn't fit where the 120mm fan goes. The thing that is preventing the windowed side panel from going on it the way that they bonded the acrylic window to the metal side p...

Good Case, Product Photos Are Misleading Though

Justin S., Newegg
24 February 2015
  • Summary: I like the case but the useless front facing fan and the misleading product photos kind of urked me but not enough to send back. Sound dampening foam in the panel make it pretty quiet, the double docks on the top of the case is a nice touch also.
  • Pros: Quiet, Sturdy, Clean, Big but not fat
  • Cons: Product photos show a windowed case....No windowed side panel, very misleading, can't even find an option to get one. Also has front intake fan, but has a door smothering it.....Kinda counter productive.

Great case, but needs polishing.

Dillon F., Newegg

  • Summary: If you have a single card, it would be fine, but other cards is a no go. I hope ThermalTake contacts me about the LED controller, and possibly get that replaced.
  • Pros: It's a very nice, sleek, sexy case. Sturdy construction, and doesn't flex.
  • Cons: Case came with a broken LED. I thought it wasn't as much of a big deal, but now I really do want that feature. I double checked everything and it seems that the LED controller just isn't working. The door is now starting to break not even 6 months of use. Whenever I open the door now, it just fal...

Good case but could use better cooling

Russell S., Newegg
29 January 2015
  • Summary: Overal im happy with the case. Just wish it had room for a few more fans or atleast a 360rad.
  • Pros: Very roomy, easily fits 2 ref. Gtx 980sli with room to spare. Had no issue mounting a 240rad. to the top only 1 screw out of the 8 didn't have a hole. The front panel on my seems perfect so far door opens and closes just fine without coming off
  • Cons: The case needs better fan support. I found it challenging to create positive pressure while still getting proper airflow only. Only holds a maximum of 5 fans.

Great large case for a good price

Travis B., Newegg

  • Summary: In the end I am very happy with this case. It's built well and walks the line between looking good and staying simple quite well. I had no issues getting everything in to this case and it was fantastic to work in thanks to all the open space.
  • Pros: This is a great large tower for those looking to put together a build and don't want a cramped tower. The tower is tall enough to easily fit the PSU, motherboard and a water-cooler radiator without difficulty. It has enough depth to fit even larger graphic cards without interfering with the drive...
  • Cons: While a great case overall, it's not without faults. The most notable fault is a common one with cases that have a door. The door has no vent in it to allow for air to flow in to the intake fan that is behind it. While there is room for air to go around the door, obviously having the door there d...

  • Summary: Overall a good case for a good price, just the front door is annoying
  • Pros: Great that you can manage your cables easily and that it is tool less. Nice build quality.
  • Cons: Main thing I gave it a 3 star instead of a 5 is because of the front door that hides your disk drives. The door closes and everything, that looks great. However when you try to open the door it pops off the middle and lower hinge, the top hinge holds it on but after you open it you have to push t...

Roomy Full Tower

Igor K., Newegg
7 July 2014
  • Summary: I got it day one (since they hit the shelves). I needed a roomy full tower with a nice side panel window for my SLI build that produces A LOT of heat! This case got the job done! While mid tower was stuffed completely, I still got plenty of room left in this full tower.
  • Pros: -Even though front cage isn't removable.. there's still plenty of room for long GPUs. -Comes w/ a docking station. -Comes with a nice blue LED strip on front top of the case. -Looks very clean. -Comes w/ plenty of USBs on front panel. -Plenty of room for a serious SLI/Crossfire Build. -Nice side ...
  • Cons: None really, I've loved this case since day one.

Modifiable if you are able - an update

Jon K., Newegg
3 July 2014
  • Summary: Another product, Thermaltake's "Thermaltake Urban S71 VP500M1W2N Black SECC ATX Windowed Full Tower Chassis" is almost the same as this one. I inserted a cross-reference as a review for that case. Buyers complained about the "cheap plastic".
  • Pros: See my previous review.
  • Cons: Front USB ports are too shallow. Can't push the USB plugs all the way in. That's cheap. Trying to push a flash drive all the way in, I broke one of the supports to the circuit board that holds the USB ports. Bad design and bad design precedent in the front panel. Fixed the break, but not the shal...
