Thermaltake LANBOX SFF Video Review

3dGameMan.com
26 April 2013
  • Summary: There are many small form factor (SFF) cases on the market, but very few come close to the features found on the Thermaltake LANBOX SFF Case. This product looks great, has a very strong handle, excellent air circulation and has a modular chassis. This modular chassis design means that the motherboard tray, power supply mount, external drive bay cage and internal drive bay cage can be easily removed.

Thermaltake LANBOX Lite

techPowerUp!
10 April 2007
  • Summary: The Thermaltake Lanbox Lite is quite similar to the Lanbox we tested previously. The most prominent difference is the lack of a handle and the plastic front. As this is a really unique and small case, expect a very tricky installation as there is nothing standard about this case. If any fault has to be found, it would be the loss of the hard drive cage if you do decide to place a large graphic card like the GeForce 8800GTX or upcoming Radeon HD X2900 inside this case.
  • Pros: Very good price, Good build quality, Light and very compact dimensions, Good internal layout, Silent operation, Modular system for installation, Lots of thumb screws, Three fans included, Matching drive bay covers included, Will fit large graphic card and power supply, PSU can be installed upward or traditional
  • Cons: Tricky installation, No handles to carry around, Large graphic cards means no HDD cage can be used, Plastic drive covers may be a bit fragile, No drive LED can be seen, A few sharp edges, Maximum motherboard size is MicroATX

Thermaltake Lanbox

techPowerUp!
9 January 2007
  • Summary: The Thermaltake Lanbox is the most robust and LAN party friendly case out there. There is no other case out there, which has the handle and comfort when going to and from a LAN party. That said, expect a very tricky installation as there is nothing standard about this case. Besides the unique installation, it is really hard finding anything else wrong with this case.
  • Pros: Great build quality, Light and incredibly easy to carry, Good internal layout, Silent operation, Modular system for installation, Lots of thumb screws, Three fans included, Matching drive bay covers included, Will fit large graphic card and power supply, PSU can be installed upward or traditional
  • Cons: Tricky installation, No drive LED can be seen, A few sharp edges, More expensive than other SFF offerings, Maximum motherboard size is MicroATX

Thermaltake LANBOX
