great but for a couple things

Sheila S., Newegg
23 November 2012
  • Summary: for what it's worth, it's a good case. the LEDs add a nice accent to lighting, but I usually leave them off. as good as the case is, I'm looking to replace it... no point in trying to find another $20 fan to fit a 3 year old case when I can get a better new case for $60.
  • Pros: large fans, lots of room, decent expansion options, multi-colored LED adds a bit of flair (solid blue, green, red... then rotating flashing (like going in a circle)... and then 2-second delay color change). color is easy to control by pressing the fan speed control knob.
  • Cons: bought the case early-2010, and had to replace the rear fan mid-2011 because it started making a buzzing sound. spent some $20 to replace it, and within the last month or so it's starting to make noise again. this case is a DUST MAGNET EXTRAORDINAIRE!!! large fans do not make it easy to keep this...

Good case for the most part

Dirk V., Newegg
23 October 2012
  • Summary: Other than the minor tweaking to fit the power supply this is still a good case and well built. I would recommend. Hopefully the manufacturer fixes the holes in the future.
  • Pros: This is a great case with good cable routing options. The fans are quiet and the side fan connector is built into the cover so you don't have to deal with disconnecting/reconnecting when you take the side panel off.
  • Cons: Out of the last 5 of these we have ordered the latest 3 seem to have an issue with the hole lining up for the power supply. I tried a couple different power supplies and am convinced it is the case that is the issue. A little TLC with a drill helped make it so we could mount a power supply.

Decent case

Joshua M., Newegg
20 September 2012
  • Summary: Good case. Only subtracted 2 eggs due to the fan issues and the dead LEDs
  • Pros: - Big case - Lots of fans - Looks very cool - Fan controls work well - Overall very nice case
  • Cons: - The wire running to the large side fan was pinched and showing through the sleeve when I unboxed the case. The fan actually wouldn't spin and the LED wouldn't light up at first. I taped it up with electrical tape and it's been fine ever since. - A rear fan seized up after about 3 months. HOWEVE...

ok case

Anonymous, Newegg
26 July 2012
  • Summary: other than the cons i really like the case
  • Pros: the case itself is great, the led's are cool to look at, and can be turned off when they get annoying. the case has tons of room and a load of hdd bays
  • Cons: the big fancy side fan didn't work out of the box( wiring issue) so i had to wire it into the power supply so it would actually work, which i think feeds it more volts or whatever b/c it makes a fair amount of noise, i think its air going through the metal side peice. Also, the rear fan has a fai...

Good case to build in, not fun to maintain.

Kevin W., Newegg
12 June 2012
  • Pros: *Lots of room in this case to build in and great airflow. *The colorshift fans are very silent, with my Thermaltake Frio CPU cooler actually producing more noise than the case itself.
  • Cons: * Front Dust Filter isn't replaceable, so if it gets warped and starts rubbing up against the front fan the only recourse is to replace the front panel. * The fans on this case seem to be a hit and miss. The rear 120mm fan began to make noise only a month after purchase. Likewise, the front fan a...

Decent but a few flaws

Sean S., Newegg
7 May 2012
  • Summary: rewrite the manual, have an option to turn off the LED in sleep mode.
  • Pros: Very well-built the design is intuitive, and it's solid and durable. The fans are pretty quiet. I know I will be using this for a long time. The LED colors are kind of cool.
  • Cons: The manual is terribly written and non-descript. The side fan connector broke off and I had to re-solder it. Also, the front sponge dust filter got in the way of the front fan and was making noise. You may have to pin it down with metal wiring or remove the sponge completely. Plus, the LED blinks...

fan doesn't spin!!

jacob s., Newegg
16 April 2012
  • Summary: other than the fan not working :( it seams good so far
  • Pros: Everything fits inside easily. looks good. quiet.
  • Cons: the side case fan doesn't work.... I just got it. assembled the computer. At the end I found out that the leds come on, but the fan doesn't spin. The front, top and rear fans' work well. If all the fans worked!! i would give it a 5.

Looks Good, Doesn't Perform Well

Jeff V., Newegg
25 January 2012
  • Summary: I am not buying another Thermaltake.
  • Pros: The case looks great, has a strong chassis, and a solid feel to it. The fans were quiet and kept my i7 nice and cool while they worked. Ability to turn off the LEDs was great.
  • Cons: The top fan wouldn't start on its own after a few months, and I didn't realize it, but the front fans completely stopped working as well. Eventually my i7 overheated and I replaced it and this case.

Great.. But one Problem...

Peter R., Newegg
2 January 2012
  • Pros: Bought this case a while ago before actually assembling my PC, as I was finally putting everything together of the weekend. It has come to my attention that the cable that powers the exhaust fan has been severed. I guess due to poor assembly. The other fans run fine, but I might just end up buyin...

Not the Best Experience

Nicole c., Newegg
12 December 2011
  • Pros: The case has a decent amount of room for mid sized. The LED lights on the fans are cool, but in the end its still just lights. Durable Case and easy to set up, for the most part.
  • Cons: The molex connector to power the led lights and fans came faulty the first time I got it, had to send it back to new egg and get a new one. They were great in the return process btw. Since than, and it doesnt always happen, but the side fan connector is a weird connection with the side panel and ...
