Bomb Proof Case

Matthew S., Newegg
19 October 2009
  • Summary: If your looking to buy a good, solid and great priced case. This is the one for you.
  • Pros: Solid Case, The two top supports make this thing very sturdy. Fit all my components in no problem. Full ATX support is great.
  • Cons: You need to disassemble a lot of the case to start sticking components in. No big deal though. I also see if I had a bigger video card it would hit and if you have more then 3 HD it my be a hard fit.

  • Cons: Bright HDD LED, but nail polish will fix that.

Great

  • Summary: This is a very good case. I went from a full tower to this desktop and I wouldnt go back now.If your looking to make the switch like me then this is the case for you.
  • Pros: Lots of room for a media pc case. Excelent cooling and style. Workmanship is also pretty good.
  • Cons: The main HDD bays are a little too close to the Ram slots on my Crosshair board, but there is enough other places to fit my two 500GB HDDs.

It's what I wanted!

Anonymous, Newegg

  • Pros: This case rocks! Though I wasn't building a home theater PC, I was looking for a great desktop case with easy access ports. Adding the Media Labs VFD (Sold seperatly), this case is da' bomb!
  • Cons: The blue power LED on the front will blind you. You could unplug it, but the effect is sometimes worth it. Also you need to use your PC to eject the CD as there is no button via the case. Your other option is to open the easy access door to eject a CD, but that's just a pain in the rump!

Great Case

Robbie L., Newegg
29 June 2006
  • Summary: This case is one of the best cases I have used. Lots of USB plugs, great styling, reinstalled window for the A2331 VFD screen. The only thing that would make it better would be quieter fans.
  • Pros: This is a very nice case. Excellent features and looks great. I would reccomend getting the A2331 screen to go in it. The screen is designed to fit oin, just remove it from the 5.25 bracket and install it into the window built into the front of the case. The screen blends in perfectly.
  • Cons: AS one would expect, the stock fans are a little loud with no controller, and the front power LED is very bright(nothing a resister could not solve) otherwise this case is great.

User Review

william m., Newegg
2 February 2006
  • Summary: all stays cool within this sweet heavy duty case, runnin a p4 2.8ht@ 3.2 with no heat issues at all, takes almost any mobo, larger ones render lowest 5.25 nearly useless for drives.
  • Pros: *well built, useful design, sturdy, roomy, feet are removable(came in handy)but still have nubs to keep the bottom off the floor.
  • Cons: noisy, not only are thermaltake fans UGLY as sin, but they are noisy no matter what they do to them. no 3.5 as mentioned earlier, and usb/aud on front has cables that are too big for the purpose served
