Thermaltake Aguila Case Review

OCModShop
21 June 2006
  • Summary: There is plainly not enough room for the extra cards, and any of the Bigwater setups. The positioning of the pump and the reservoir will interfere with your expansion cards. On the DFI SLI-DR the video card is about ½ inch above the top of the reservoir — and that is with a 7800gt! Tthe bigger cards like the 7900gtx will not have that much room at all (and just forget about SLI).

  • Excerpt: Thermaltake has only been around for some 7 years or so having been formed in 1999 opening in Taiwan and USA simultaneously. In 2000 with the company's initial launch of Orb coolers, it created waves of shocks and appraisals throughout the gaming and overclocking communities. Thermaltake quickly became the name gamer’s turn to when they need high-end and reliable thermal solutions.
  • Pros:  Very nice looking case.,  Customisable, put the power button at the bottom if you wish.,  Aluminium therefore light weight.,  Toolless design for the 5¼ bays.,  Filtered air intakes.,  2x120mm fans fitted as standard.
  • Cons:  DFI motherboard owners be warned.,  Motherboard tray not removable.,  Door squeaks a bit.
