Decent case overall

Eli H., Newegg
16 December 2015
  • Summary: If your dvd drive doesn't fit just install whatever you need on the drive with the dvd drive unmounted and take it out when done. Its not worth having a bent case over a thing you'll only use once or twice.
  • Pros: Nice simple design and good material.
  • Cons: Disk slot was too small to put in a dvd drive. My friend built his PC with me but he got a different case and both drives fit his but neither fit mine. When i finally got it in it bent it out of shape slightly and now all the screw holes are unaligned in the back so its even more of a pain to tak...

Good case, faulty audio jacks

Anonymous, Newegg
19 September 2015
  • Pros: This case is just about the absolute best you can get in MicroATX form factor. Despite its reasonably small size, it's very large and easy to work on the inside. It has plenty of room for routing cables behind the motherboard, with conveniently placed and well thought out cable tie locations. The...
  • Cons: The unfortunate thing is the side panels do scratch pretty easily. The stock 180mm fan was a bit noisy for my liking, but you can replace it with any 180 or 140mm fan. The case also has one crucial issue: Faulty jack detection. The front headphone jack constantly believes there's something plugge...

Quality for the most part

Allen D., Newegg
7 February 2015
  • Pros: Beautiful tower if you want a practical subdued look. Temps stay cool as stated. Was looking for a tower which would save me some space; this fits the job.
  • Cons: Fit is somewhat questionable(issue with the side panels specifically). The thumbscrews for the side panels are starting to strip. Bothers me since as I was originally planning on sticking to this case. Now considering an upgrade sometime down the road. I don't plan to open the case too often, but...

MB tray standoffs incorrectly tapped

David B., Newegg
11 July 2014
  • Summary: I don't know if I would buy this case again.
  • Pros: I like the rubber vibration insulated 3.5 inch HDD holder. Good use of space.
  • Cons: The motherboard tray standoffs are tapped in 2 different thread sizes. It took me a while to figure out why my standoff screws were falling out of some of the MB tray standoffs. About half of the standoffs were tapped with standard MB threads, and half were tapped with HDD threads! I guess the em...

3 February 2014
  • Summary: For the price, this is an excellent case, it's very pretty and the single fan is dead quiet. The video card and heatsink supports are good features and they work brilliantly. However, there were some problems.
  • Pros: Looks good, pretty good cable management, removable motherboard tray
  • Cons: Not the easiest case to work in, can be difficult to find routes for some cables. Not up to silverstone's usual standard of quality.

I was shorted the accessories

brian d., Newegg
18 December 2013
  • Pros: nice looking case and will work nicely for me... although... see con
  • Cons: I bought this case a little over a month ago, but due to circumstances I am just now getting around to building the pc. I have now found that the case packaging was short the accessories and manual. I've had to scrounge around for screws ,standoff etc.. I'm sure before I'm finished there will be ...

  • Summary: It's a great case and all but when I went to install it found out where the 3 built-in motherboard stand off's by the io shield were completely missing. All that's left is a gaping hole where no regular motherboard stand off's. My solution was to find some nuts and washers to raise them to use.
  • Pros: Looks nice, good fan
  • Cons: Motherboard standoff's missing, flimsy metal

Case needs a better fan

Michael S., Newegg
26 May 2012
  • Summary: Looking at the other reviews on this case and specifically the fan I see that I'm not alone with problems. I think that silverstone should use ball bearings in these fans and not the sleeve bearings that they currently use.
  • Pros: Love the layout of this case. cooling is very impressive!! Lots of airflow. great filter design on the front of the case allows for easy access to it.
  • Cons: As another reviewer said, too loud at higher fan speeds. The fan that I got with the case has developed a "clicking" sound about a day or two after I built the computer. I believe it to be a bad bearing. Search newegg for "AP181" to see more reviews of the fan itself to see what I mean.

Good design, Bad Material

Swe-Unit, Amazon
19 December 2011
  • Summary: Pros: Looks great!; Internal USB 3.0 header; Good cable management; Decent layout inside. Cons: The material seems cheap, I screwed the motherboard mounts in with my fingers and it striped out the holes on the m/b tray; On most m/b's you can't use ram with any type of tall heatsink as it will hit...

too loud

cpng, Scan
14 November 2013
  • Excerpt: Good documentation and smooth installation for the relatively inexperienced system builder that I am. The fan is disappointing because it produces quite a loud noise from its bearings.
