Silverstone SUGO SG08

17 December 2012
  • Summary: Silverstone took the SG07 and evolved it by going all out with the thick aluminum front panel I lovingly call "the slab". This case doesn't just look awesome; its internals also manage to impress. Silverstone has included a 600W PSU with specifications that rival that of their Essential Plus series, which retails for 80 Euros on its own. That brings the price of the chassis down to a much more humane 120 Euros in the grand scheme of things.
  • Pros: Thick front panel made out of aluminum, Extremely compact, Two expansion slots, Can hold 12.2 inch long graphics card, 2x 2.5 inch and 1x 3.5 inch bays, Slimline ODD bay, 180 mm FDB Air Penetrator fan on the top, 2x USB 3.0, USB 3.0 to 2.0 adapter included, Dust filter on fan, High quality, single rail 600W PSU, Mini-ITX or Mini-DTX compatibility, Positive air pressure system - helps to keep dust out of the system, Reset button in the back
  • Cons: Fragile anti-vibration rings, Air penetrator fan is audible at full speed, PSU cables hard to hide nicely, Fan switch firmly attached to Air Penetrator, Basic I/O

Silverstone SUGO SG08 Mini-ITX Case

Benchmark Reviews
2 June 2012
  • Conclusion: SilverStone set out to make the smallest possible mini-ITX computer case they could that could still serve as the basis of a high-performance system. They succeeded, albeit with some design decisions and compromises that make the result possibly less than optimum. Nobody expects a mini ITX case to have the sort of expandability a standard case would, and yet SilverStone manages to fit room for two 2.5" drives, a 3.5" drive, a slim optical drive, and a 600 watt power...
  • Pros: Included 600W 80 Plus Bronze power supply, Excellent ventilation and airflow management, Power, space, and cooling are more than adequate for any video card (that will physically fit), All air intakes are filtered
  • Cons: Distressingly thin sheet metal is easy to damage, Power supply cables are far too long for this case, making cable management difficult, No integrated memory card reader, Design for slim optical drive limits your options

SilverStone Sugo SG08 review

18 January 2012
  • Excerpt: SilverStone...
