Plastic front lessens appeal

Stephen L., Newegg
21 July 2012
  • Pros: Straightforward case, no frills, decent design but SG01 is better.
  • Cons: Plastic front cheapens the overall look, easy to scratch glossy coating Limited CPU cooler support due to PSU location placement.

Good case, but, caution, tight fit

Justin B., Newegg
17 December 2011
  • Pros: Nice piano black case finish on the front. Almost mirrored finished silver stripe on the front USB panel cover. Good quality case build, sturdy, proper weight. The included fans are very quiet.
  • Cons: Case is extremely tight; almost REQUIRES a modular power supply. The micro-ATX board that I got required quite a bit of maneuvering to get installed. Even then, the edge of the mobo did graze a bit of the case...you won't have a choice. Case does not include mounting adapter for SSD. Only include...

Small

Maryellen F., Newegg
3 September 2011
  • Pros: Compact, includes one 80mm fan, has 2 more spots for 80mm fans.
  • Cons: No wiggle room to put the Mobo in, its a MicroATX.

  • Pros: Solid construction, looks nice, very quiet, relatively easy to work with, small-ish
  • Cons: I wish it was a little smaller, but at the same time it's very cramped on the inside. However my biggest gripe with this unit is that the LED on the front is insanely bright. I like the blue light I just wish it was 90% less bright. Also I'm not sure if other people have had this problem but inst...

John C., Newegg
28 July 2011
  • Summary: Overall I like this case, that's why I only took one egg off. I got this for a portable gaming rig. Came with a 2.5 to 3.5 adapter for SSD's. If you don't use a DVD or Blu Ray drive you have extra space for cable management.
  • Pros: Tons of room to work. Well not tons but adequate space. Replaced the side fan for a Noctua R8 much quieter once I put the LN resistor in. Case has good airflow keeps my GTX 260 with a slight overclock, supplied with fresh air.
  • Cons: The hard drive cage was useles for me. I couldn't fit my GTX 260 in with a 3.5" drive in either slot. Top slot and the sata power cable was blocked, bottom slot and I couldn't get the card to align due to the drive sticking out just over 1/4". Ended up putting my drive where the DVD drive would g...

Small & Attractive, but flawed

Anonymous, Newegg
29 March 2011
  • Summary: I want to like this case more, but I've had nothing but issues with CPU heat (using 65W CPU's no less) due to the location of the power supply. The stock heatsink and fan (for AMD anyway) butts right up against the bottom of the PSU creating a situation where if there is no bottom mounted PSU fan,...
  • Pros: - Fits in small Places - Looks nice - Fairly easy to work inside of - Good array of front ports - Accepts standard ATX power supplies - Plenty of expansion options - Accepts full height video cards
  • Cons: - Power supply sits right on top of CPU, must either use a loud low profile CPU cooler, or ghetto-rig something to blow from the side (option I chose). - 80mm fans can be loud (had to replace with low-flo, low-noise models.

12 February 2011
  • Summary: I have a pretty loaded build, so the pain it is to access and mod the innards is partly my fault. (No star deduction.) I have a tendency to use multiple HDs, so I had to workaround the lack of drive bays a bit with 1x 5" to 4x 2.5" backplane.
  • Pros: Compact size; Elegent exterior aesthetics.
  • Cons: 1.) Somewhat cramped (especially if you plan to fully load it.) 2.) Hard to modify/access build once system is fully assembled (might depend on MB design/layout and other component selections though.) 3.) Front Panel PCB seems susceptable to EMI noise (Tested with a set of Sony MDR-XB700 headphon...

Laser Beam Bright LEDs

James M., Newegg
22 January 2011
  • Summary: I swear the LEDs have the light output of a 3 mW laser. It is unacceptable if the PC is at all exposed while watching TV as you will be either blinded or distracted by the brilliant flashes.
  • Pros: 1. Good design layout for the small interior volume. I feel it is superior to the Lian Li PC-351 if used as a HTPC inside a cabinet. 2. I was concerned about the airflow but the open interior above the MB allows good unobstructed airflow from the sides. 3. The case dimensions worked out better fo...
  • Cons: 1. Ridiculously bright blue LEDs for the power and HDD (see below for remedy). 2. Accepts only 80 mm intake/exhaust fans, so expect more noise vs cases with 120 mm fans. This is marginal for a HTPC, but plan on buying the quietest tested fans for the case and PS if used on the desktop (and even H...

Very Accommodating Case.

Anonymous, Newegg
14 December 2010
  • Pros: This case is great for people that want a discrete PC.
  • Cons: Some of the built-in stand off screw holes are not machined properly. This is the only problem I had with the case.

Great Case

Zach J., Newegg
5 November 2010
  • Summary: Steal frame can be sharp in some areas (cut fingers possible) Shiny black face makes mat-black drives stick out a bit... no biggy.
  • Pros: Great amount of space and allows for extended video cards. Plenty of flexibility along with distance between PSU and CPU enough for after market coolers with in reason.
  • Cons: Only comes with a single 80mm fan for HDDs. Would like to see addition fans or possibly 120mm fans (or at least 92mm)... Included 3.5" to 5.25" adapters are not very flexible and require plastic taping screws (included), if you're picky about alignment make sure to order some metal adapters...
