Bad location for PS

Anonymous, Newegg
30 December 2009
  • Summary: On my setup there is maybe 3.5" clearance from the surface of the motherboard to the bottom of the power supply. Plan for your power supply, CPU, heatsink/fan carefully.
  • Pros: Good quality components and construction.
  • Cons: This is a somewhat compact case. The power supply is located right above where most motherboards position the CPU and can make for a tight fit.

  • Summary: Only get if u plan on shorting all the cables bc otherwise thre cramped in there
  • Pros: looks good.silent with a 3.1ghz am3 cpu 8gb of ram 2 1tb hdds and a 280gtx
  • Cons: WOw where to start. The cables to plug everything in are way to long!!!there atlest 18inches or bigger.the paint is easliy scratched off.Should provide short sata cables. To fit stuff in with proper air flow cable modding is a must.

Falls a bit short

Jeffrey K., Newegg

  • Summary: I've built more than a dozen SG01 systems for our office and my personal system. I thought I'd try the SG02-BF in a build for my wife. This seems much like one step forward and two back for Silverstone. If you like the type of case I'd suggest the SG01 as a better alternative.
  • Pros: Small footprint Good looks Black Good price point
  • Cons: HDD trays are hard to access (screws 1/2" under the HDD, really?), trays don't seem necessary HDD cage unscrews but doesn't come out. Bright LEDs. Really tight on full mATX mobo, 1/4" would do wonders Tall panel on cpu side limits access. Rear mobo panel alignment issues Only one fan

Ok case

Shad F., Newegg
3 August 2009
  • Pros: Great Design for the layout. The design for the Vid Card area works well have a 260 GTX installed two fans one for intake and one for outflow and it works well. temps are in the high 40s.
  • Cons: Blue LED in front of case needs to be changed or adjsutable. way to bright. The case screws are a mess. way to difficult to screw in and out. The Hard drive screws should be accuratly labled. if you dont use the right screws nothing works. Need more space for power cords if they need to be hidden...

Time will tell

  • Summary: Components: AMD X2 6000+ 3.1ghz 125W BIOSTAR TA790GX XE AM2+/AM2 AMD 790GX EVGA 8800GT 512mb Stock AMD Cooler (with Heatpipes) 4gb Gskill DDR2 800 Corsair TX750W PSU (has a 120mm Fan on bottom) If you have any questions, atavizik@gmail.com, I would be more than happy to tell you about this case,
  • Pros: 1. Sleek Appearance 2. Decent Layout 3. Fit all of my components 4. 2 HDD slots 5. Two 5 1/4 bays, (with cable management, really only 1) 6. Good quality
  • Cons: 1. There are two 80mm fan ports, In order to get my case temps down, I had to purchase more cooling. 2. Case runs extremely HOT. (see components to compare) I cannot find any other cons, but the temps are a decent con to mention. My proc hit temps as high as 79C 8800GT hit temps as high as 91C I ...

Drove Me Nuts

Anonymous, Newegg
9 March 2009
  • Summary: The bottom of the case was slightly dented as others have reported. I pressed hard and bent the metal back into shape. The case cover can sometimes be difficult to remove for unknown reasons. Attempt #1 it comes off smooth. Attempt #2 is snags in some mysterious place and will not come loose.
  • Pros: Good fit and finish. Supports a full ATX power supply. Comes with brackets to populate the 2nd 5.25" bay with a 3rd hdisk, which I did. I was able to easily remove the stock fan and mount 3 Enermax 80mm fans. However, the case always ran hot. It looks good, but I won't buy another one.
  • Cons: I can't see! I've been blinded by a two blue lasers mounted on the front of the case! Some idiot at Silverstone insisted that their blue LEDs must cause retinal damage to be acceptable. Where to begin. This case is not all that great to be honest. Yes, it's a small form factor case, but dang does...

Its ok but has issues

Phillip V., Newegg
13 February 2009
  • Summary: All SFF cases are overpriced. At 1/2 the size of some medium towers they can cost twice as much & sometimes lack features for the price. You can buy a good quality tower for same price or less than this case.
  • Pros: Sturdy, fits long video cards, front panel finish attractive. Front HD audio, plus firewire. Size is pretty good, tho could be a tiny bit less longer. Fit all my stuff (ASUS mobo, NVIDIA 8800GT, HDs etc) while still having some space for cable management. Instruction manual decent. I added 2xtra ...
  • Cons: Many. 1. Body looks painted by clogged paint gun. 2. Other reviewers not joking LEDs are like flashlights. 3. All that ventilation means a lot of dust, not as silent & a lack of directing airflow. 4. If you have to take apart often all those screws start to get annoying. Less screws please. I cha...

Quality Case

William B., Newegg
13 November 2008
  • Summary: The screw issue was a huge hassle. In hindight I should have reused my ATX case. But this is a sharp looking case that can fit in a duffle bag for easy transporting.
  • Pros: Fits ATX power supplies. Small enough to be portable. Sturdy design with plenty of space inside.
  • Cons: Mounting screws were messed up. The screws the manual indicated for using with the motherboard and mounting hard-drive and DVD-drives were either mislabled or the threads were messed up. I had to use different screws than the manual told me to because the screws wouldn't screw in. Because of this...

Extremely TIght

William F., Newegg
22 October 2008
  • Summary: Wire routing is important. Suggest that you buy a modular power supply to reduce the number of cables that must fit inside the case.
  • Pros: Good Looking and small footprint. High quality materials.
  • Cons: Extremely tight to the point that it was that it was putting excessive pressure on the motherboard ATX cable when the lid was closed.
