Not as cozy as it should have been

Rudy P., Newegg
12 June 2014
  • Summary: Wish I could return it, but it'd cost more than it's worth to reship and restock this guy. Pity. I originally bought it to replace my Grandia, a case by Silverstone as well, seeing as how I couldn't fit my graphics card in it, but now in this case I can fit the graphics card but I have nowhere to...
  • Pros: Really sleek looking, liked the idea of being able to mount a fan in front of my hard drives (which I was unable to do because there is literally next to no space in this thing)
  • Cons: This is my second case that I've bought from Silverstone that I either have to ghetto-rig or put in the closet. I can't even use the hard drive bay because my graphics card is about an inch too long, the optical drive bay doesn't come out at all and takes up a good fifth of the space, so I can't ...

Sharp case

Louis L., Newegg
30 March 2014
  • Summary: This case is precisely what I was looking for. It works as intended and it looks good. I warn against using it for gaming because it will run hot. I have a Phenom 2 and a couple of old AMD 5670s and I had to reset all to stock speeds. It all runs well and quiet.
  • Pros: This is a solid, well built case. It looks great with my TV stand and looks like a piece of electronics and not like a PC.
  • Cons: Tight! No air! Do not use this case for a hot gaming rig! I won't dock an egg for that, it is a HTPC case and a nice one.

Don't buy...

Venugopal B., Newegg
26 March 2014
  • Pros: Looks okay in the A/V setup...
  • Cons: The product does not meet the specifications. The specs say that I can connect a 80mm fan to the 3.5" Drive bay. However, the front I/O panel that accommodates the USB and Audio ports blocks the fan. You can either have a fan for the hard disk, or the front I/O panel. Not both. Since I wanted to ...

Solid Case with a great appearance

Neil F., Newegg
19 February 2014
  • Summary: In all, great case. The side vent covers are easily removable to clean if need be. Pretty solid build. Good value. -Take your time and plan out your build as it can be a tight space, but I have not had an issue.
  • Pros: I just moved my hardware over from an Antec case to this unit. Reason being; a better looking case that rested horizontally and matched my other home theater stuff. -The aluminium fascia is perfect. The case looks great. It's clean, solid and well designed. -All of the compartments can be taken o...
  • Cons: -Rubber grommets for hard drives, (as my previous Antec case had) would help with noise/vibration reduction. -More venting from the front of the unit. As most appears to come in from the sides. So far, no issue. -The PSU mostly cover the larger vent on the side, so it is sorta silly... should be ...

Looks awesome

Benny G., Newegg
18 July 2013
  • Pros: I bought this for my HTPC build. The directions where is and installing the components into this case was a breeze. My HTPC set up -------------- AMD A10-6800K 4.1GHz GIGABYTE GA-F2A85X-UP4 Seagate ST3000DM001 Barracuda 7200.12 Hard Drive - 3TB CORSAIR Vengeance 16 GB(4X4) DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1866 D-...

Worked very well for me

george m., Newegg
2 October 2012
  • Summary: I build this system in 2010, and it is still running cool and quitet to this day. The reason I wrote this review is because of the two previous reviwers bad mouthing this case. I believe their criticism is unjustified. This is a quality product, and my build went together with out any problem.
  • Pros: Good solid case. Whisper quiet with solid state drives installed. By far the most attractive case I even build. And for the price, it's a steal! My build included: Creative Inspire T313 speakers, Gigabyte GeForce 9800 GT video, G.SKILL DDR3 1600 2 x 2gb RAM, LITE-ON optical drive, ASUS M4A79XTD E...
  • Cons: It was tight, but that was half the fun.

Nice Looking Case - No Room to Spare

Gary M., Newegg
29 September 2012
  • Summary: Follow instructions to the letter! Pre-plan all cable placements (in all directions), use a modular power supply and short cables where ever possible. Plan on multiple assembly tries before getting cables and components to fit right.
  • Pros: Good Looking Case and Well Made. Front jacks are hidden but easily accessable. Great case for multiple SSD's. USB-3.0 ports in front are handy. Accommodation for 7 3.5 inch hard drives but ......
  • Cons: No room to spare! Can physically accommodate 7 hard drives but electrical and data connections would be virtually impossible. Long video cards and long power supplies are a problem. For a Standard ATX, the middle drive cage with one hard drive blocks two pci-e x 16 slots if you put a fan in that ...

Poor layout and not great if you want a quiet media center/ HTPC

Mark A., Newegg
5 May 2012
  • Summary: Bottom line: This case is overpriced and a far cry from the intelligent layout present in some of their cases - like the GD05B. It is almost as if they figured, we will make it big so it holds more and that will be enough to make it good.
  • Pros: * Good looking and fits well with other audio/video components * Deep so it can be placed under most A/V receivers * Reasonable build quality
  • Cons: * Poor design for bottom vented power supplies - the opening on side of case is nothing close to the size or shape of a power supply that has the fan on the bottom * No rubber isolation for drives or way to easily implement your own system due to poor drive carrier design. * Tons of metal-to-meta...

Worst Case I Have Ever Purchased

Chad E., Newegg
3 May 2012
  • Summary: 2 of the screws in the bag had missing threads! - MB Power connector and front panel USB 3 connector on MB can't be plugged in on MB because 5.25 in drive holder is in the way! Cut 1/2 in off the bottom and now it barely clears... shouldn't have had to do that.
  • Pros: - ONLY Pro is that it looks good and "blends in" well with most HT setups due to it's generic smooth face design. This one fact is the ONLY reason that I kept it and spent the day customizing it to make it work. Since there isn't enough room to fit all the CONS in the space allowed I will start t...
  • Cons: OR they could have changed the way they mount the 2 - 3.5 inch drive bay covers on the left (facing case) drive holder in order to allow the top HD's to be mounted closer to the front of the case while still being behind the covers. OR they could have NOT put a USELESS fan mount in the center dri...

Great HTPC Case

Praveenkumar S., Newegg
16 April 2012
  • Summary: Great for first timer. Cable management is easy. This case is big (its an ATX case) so might be too big for a regular sized TV Stand/AV Stack.
  • Pros: Lots of Room for future upgrades. 1 Cage for Disc drives and 2 cages for HDDs. Has 2 fans in the case. A little expensive. Overall great build quality and sturdy. Front Panel cables are labelled well. Rubberized base for reduced vibrations. Nice black finish.
  • Cons: Heavy, not as good looking as the Moneual cases. Of course those start at $250.
