User Review

Ralph D., Newegg
10 September 2014
  • Summary: Build Specs - ASRock Z97 Extreme 4 LGA 1150 ATX Intel Motherboard, i3-4360 3.7 GHz cpu, stock intel cooler,128 gb Plextor ssd, 2 3tb wd hdd 2 3tb wd hdd and 1 4tb wd hdd, Silverstone strider plus st50f-p modular ps, asus bluray drive, 8gb G.Skill memory
  • Pros: Very well built and plenty of room for hard drives. I have 1 ssd and 5 hdd with room for 2 to 3 more if I wanted to get creative! I had to spend a little time getting the optical drive eject button just right but it works great and I have burned about 300 movies with 0 problems. The included case...

Nice, but big.

Ed H., Newegg
30 June 2014
  • Summary: While it can take on the big components, it is a very large case. I have a DVD/VCR player, and a DVD stand alone burner stacked on top of each other next to this case, and the case is about an inch taller.
  • Pros: I bought the case based on the pictures, price, and ability to place multiple sized boards in it. It is a well laid out case design that gives plenty of room to place big video cards in it, and has a lot of space for HDDs. The main drive (SSD, or HDD) can be mounted in a side slot to keep it sepa...
  • Cons: None, but see other thoughts.

Excellent gaming case in HTPC format

Mark W., Newegg
8 June 2014
  • Summary: Case height limits air-cooling options and using water cooling is not an option without major case modifications; however, with the ability to have five 120mm case fans, this case allows plenty of air movement. I chose a 92mm air cooler and replaced the stock fans with slim profile push-pull fans.
  • Pros: High volume case with lots of room - easily fits ATX board, dual video cards, optical drive and SSD.
  • Cons: Though it is roomy, you do have to pay attention to how components from the front of the case will meet with components from the motherboard. For example, HDD(s) need to be offset to avoid conflict with video card(s). Connectors on back of optical drive may conflict with CPU cooler. Choose compon...

rick c., Newegg

  • Summary: Really nice overall.
  • Pros: pretty well built in my opinion.
  • Cons: only cone is on e-atx boards you have to remove one of the fans by the mobos sata ports to gain access to them. aside from that, not worth knocking an egg off for.

Good Case

Cliff S., Newegg
19 February 2014
  • Summary: Overall I would recommend this case to others for htpc setups however make sure your av cabinet has adequate room and ventilation.
  • Pros: Good Construction. Generous room inside the case for various setups
  • Cons: Limited mounting for liquid cooling solutions. I had to modify my setup a little to fit my cooler.

Overall great HTPC case

Anonymous, Newegg
30 December 2013
  • Pros: For a HTPC case this thing has a lot of room for full sized video cards and also fits nicely in a home entertainment center looking like it is meant to be there.
  • Cons: It would be a very tight fit if you loaded this thing up with even a few 3.5" hard drives. I just use a 2.5" ssd above the DVD player and space is still fairly tight inside the case but that is to be expected with a HTPC case. Nature of the beast.

One HTPC to Rule Them ALL!

Tramayne M., Newegg
23 December 2013
  • Summary: If you are using PLEX Media Server and have a few HDDs, this case was made for you.
  • Pros: Needed an HTPC case that could hold my 6 HDD movie collection (using Plex) and handle the space for a full size ATX mobo and an EVGA 660TI VGA card. This case is simply AWESOME!! It comes with three fans that pull cold air in. I added an 80mm exhaust fan because of the six 3.5 HDDs to help push t...
  • Cons: What cons? I wanted a HTPC case that could house all of my HDDs and full size mobo and video card, and look good doing it!

wish I could just edit my last post.

Shawn F., Newegg

  • Summary: (I'm the guy who had a bad fan, but all is well now. Excellent.)
  • Pros: Ordered two more 120mm fans, to make it a total of 5. Had one fan that was bad but they said they sent out a replacement. Overall Wit 5 Silverstone fans it's quiet as can be.
  • Cons: Wish I could of just changed my 3 start to a 5 after my initial problems are gone.
