bad layout

Jeremy T., Newegg
30 April 2015
  • Summary: haven't yet had a real problem with it, but am expecting it to overheat with how there is only 1/4" clearance between cpu fan and poser supply with half of it underneath
  • Pros: sturdy
  • Cons: power supply blocks cpu fan no case fan slot card slot too tight of a fit

Got this in a combo, would never buy again

Andrew L., Newegg
18 March 2015
  • Summary: Newegg! if you offer a combo please build it out and see how it goes together, if it will go together! I cannot stress enough if you buy this case, you must think about the thermals, don't put anything hot in it, think of where that psu comes down, think of where you can wedge fans in and how you...
  • Pros: It's small, compact, and fits on the tv stand well.
  • Cons: Got this with a combo that I don't think anyone at newegg attempted to build! The combo included gskill ripjaws X series ram, a MSI AM1I motherboard, a WD 1TB blue, a athlon 5350, and this case. The LED's are understated and easy to miss, perhaps a little too easy to miss. The ram's high heatsink...

Rosewill - What a bunch or Jokers!

Himanshu G., Newegg
24 November 2014
  • Summary: I highly recommend anyone with this case to buy 1-2 spare PSU (APEX AL-8250SFX) -- Newegg Item#: N82E16817154024. I am a reseller and I put these systems in my client's location. This is the last time I buy any Rosewill branded items for my clients.
  • Pros: Nice small-factor case. I bought 6 of them. I can have 2 mirrored Hard Drives with a DVD ROM in the case.
  • Cons: Dumb Warranty. My PSU died and they want me to ship the entire case back. Thye cant swap the Power supply only! For the time and effort (and shipping cost) of swapping an entire case, I can buy a new PSU. Luckily I bought spare PSUs from Newegg for $19.99. I called Rosewill today and the moron sa...

No Stock Intel LGA 1150 coolers

Jeff M., Newegg
17 June 2014
  • Summary: First itx build i3-4430 (w/stock cooler) ASRock H81M-ITX LGA Required to buy aftermarket cooler...buy a more expensive case...
  • Pros: cheap, power supply (rated for haswell)
  • Cons: STOCK LGA 1150 COOLER DOES NOT FIT WITH PROVIDED POWER SUPPLY!!!!!!!!! Had to stop after installing motherboard, CPU + stock cooler because the provided power supply with the case does not fit with the stock cooler. The power supply literally rests on top of the cooler no matter which way I set i...

Loud PSU FAN, Lasted 2 hours.

Stephen R., Newegg
30 June 2013
  • Summary: Compared to other cases in the class this product does not stand up. Its made with much thinner steel. The chassis flexes. Removing the PSU allows easy ITX mainboard installation. Opted to get a refund and try a different brand after it died within 2 hours of owning it.
  • Pros: Nice Size. Standard SFX Power Supply. Packed Well. No Annoying LEDS
  • Cons: Loud PSU Died No 2.5" Mounting solution No additional fan mount locations Thin Steel, razor sharp edges

Mixed feelings about this case

Steve K., Newegg
21 April 2013
  • Summary: I would have preferred a more simple front panel like a shuttle PC. I do not need a door that hides the DVD and why hide the USB/Audio ports behind a lousy plastic door that is probably always open.
  • Pros: The size is great and the power supply fan is nearly silent
  • Cons: Sheet metal is too thin. Everything bends or flexes. The front panel looks like 2 bays but there is only one. The top bay is intended for a DVD so it has a sloppy button intended to push the DVD button for open/close. The power supply has no support other than 4 screws. This would be ok if the sh...

Front of case was broken

Edward K., Newegg
28 February 2013
  • Summary: I called newegg for an RMA and they paid for my return shipping.
  • Pros: The case looks good other than the busted doors on the front.
  • Cons: The door the covers the UBS ports and the door that covers the 3.5 drive bay are both broken.

Could be a great case

Sean G., Newegg
2 September 2012
  • Summary: If only there was a place to put case fans, or even an external PSU option. As I said- this could be a great case, but some corners were either cut, or proximity of the APU underneath the PSU wasn't noticed.
  • Pros: - Compact - Components are accessible with case off - Cables were oriented well for my particular motherboard
  • Cons: Heat, heat , heat. With the system fully assembled, (AMD motherboard, (1) stick of RAM, blu-ray drive and SSD), ran for about 45 minutes before heat issues cropped up. The case was hot on the outside... The gap between the APU and the power supply is <1/2". The PSU fan either wasn't moving much a...

Don't expect too much

Douglas F., Newegg
9 October 2011
  • Summary: Start of by removing the power supply and leave it out until all the MB headers are connected, and your memory, and drives are in place. Front panel: DON'T follow the recommendations elsewhere and try to lift up on the bottom to release it!
  • Pros: Inexpensive, well laid out, looks nice.
  • Cons: Very light gauge metal bends easily and won't take bumps well. There is no access to the bottom of the MB mounting plate, which normally wouldn't be problem, but the bottom of my case had been whacked, bending the mounting plate above it upward so that there was less than 1/16" or so clearance be...

Poor PSU Placement

Michael J., Newegg
2 March 2011
  • Summary: Buy a different case that does not put the PSU's fan directly above & blow hot air into the CPU HSF. At this point, I'm pretty bummed I did not.
  • Pros: Small case that looks pleasant sitting in my entertainment shelf. The front panel is super handy.
  • Cons: As other reviewers have mentioned, the PSU sits directly above the CPU. There is approximately 70mm vertical space for the HSF, which is barely enough for the stock Intel HSF and minimizes the choices for after market options. After trying the stock HSF, plus two after market HSFs, my Intel Core ...
