Good case

Daniel S., Newegg
22 July 2013
  • Summary: It has a hasp for a lock to keep the side panel from being opened. Sometime in the three days between me ordering and receiving the case, they began offering a free flash drive with it, which I could certainly use.
  • Pros: Pros: Plenty sturdy, solid construction, no sharp edges, comes with a lot of screws and one motherboard standoff, for a spot on the case where there's no built in standoff. Also comes with a tiny beep speaker on the end of an inch long wire with header connection.
  • Cons: Cons: The front panel controls/lights wires are barely long enough to reach their headers, but the case fan wires could almost wrap around the whole case. I'd say if your front panel headers are in the middle to the right on the bottom of the board then the wires in this case should be just long ...

Discontinued? Big mistake, Rosewill. BIG MISTAKE.

Jonathan P., Newegg
21 January 2013
  • Summary: I've bought dozens of these cases for various builds, and we were recently forced to buy Rosewill's newer FBM-01 when we found the R101-P-BK is now DISCONTINUED. Note to Rosewill: BIG MISTAKE.
  • Pros: Cooling for both hard drives and mATX shipsets via the front fan, space for several hard drives OR for the ability to mount a hard drive in the best place relative to the motherboard ports and/or cards, plus plenty of 5.25 and 3.5 drive bays, solid pre-formed motherboard posts, and well-placed fr...

Newegg, stop discontinuing Rosewill cases!

Michael S., Newegg
4 January 2013
  • Summary: Not a great case but good enough for a basic server or pc build.
  • Pros: Purchased a batch of these to house servers to put in a small datacenter. Well, they are so-so cases. I threw the server builds together and installed them the same day I received the cases. Power button is huge and easy to find even in dim light. They aren't beautiful cases but they're cheap and...
  • Cons: Fan a bit noisy, ugly case, side panel can be annoying to remove after a while. But for our purpose in a datacenter with hundreds of other noisy boxes who cares?

Better than expected for the price!

Connie J., Newegg
10 November 2012
  • Pros: I just simply love this case. Excellent quality, came with all the screws for the motherboard, drives etc. Some have stated the side panel that removes doesn't line up, personally I don't have that problem at all, even after taking it off and putting it back on again a few times. Plenty of room, ...

Great case for the price.

Robert S., Newegg
26 October 2012
  • Summary: Of course, there are much better cases out there -- but they cost 4 to 6 times as much. I purchased this case for a low-budget HTPC build, and for that purpose it is excellent.
  • Pros: This is a well-made budget case. I purchased it from Newegg for $30 plus free shipping.
  • Cons: NOne.

The Right Stuff

William P., Newegg
19 October 2012
  • Summary: Why Newegg would discontinue one of their most popular Rosewill branded cases is beyond me.
  • Pros: The right price point, the right shape and size, the right air flow, the right look, the right amount of space, the right number of bays internal/external, and the right front panel connections.
  • Cons: Discontinued!

Decent Basic Case

Matthew H., Newegg
13 October 2012
  • Summary: A decent case for a simple build. Good airflow means it can probably handle a lower end gaming build, but I wouldn't recommend it.
  • Pros: Simple, no frills case. Cheap. Good airflow from the 120mm fan. Some complained about sharp edges, and while there was some (to be expected from such a cheap case), they were not a real issue to me. Enough room for a smaller sized graphics card. Used it in a simple AMD based web surfer machine wi...
  • Cons: Very light. Rather flimsy construction. Plastic feels like it can be cracked easily. Fan is kinda loud, but not too bad. Does not come with the side intake funnel as shown in the pictures.

A good basic case

James M., Newegg
7 October 2012
  • Pros: Nothing fancy here. Just a basic box to mount things in. Still, it's good and solid, and easy to work in, with no surprises lurking to bite. No lights, no blue glowing fans, no windowed sides, nothing like that. It's a box you build up, stick under your desk, and forget.
  • Cons: The only thing I wish it had was a USB3 port on the front, but I can easily live without that.

6 October 2012
  • Summary: Perfect case for micro boards. Added an extra fan, but not really needed.
  • Pros: Easy install, no dents, looks great, even had a teeny tiny speaker!
  • Cons: Missed it on sale last month! Bummer!
