NZXT Tempest 210 Mid-Tower Case Review

Hi Tech Legion
28 March 2012
  • Summary: The NZXT Tempest 210 mid-tower case performed well in terms of build quality, functionality and thermal performance, although it lacked proper 2.5"/SSD mounting support out of the box.
  • Pros: High airflow design, USB 3.0, Tool-free 5.25" and 3.5" HDD mounting, Support for video cards up to 320mm long, Support for aftermarket CPU coolers up to 160mm tall, Excellent cable management, Reusable PCI slot cover, Easy-access 5.25" drive bay covers, Plenty of optional fan mounting areas, Price
  • Cons: No 2.5" HDD/SSD mounting support

NZXT Tempest 210

12 December 2011
  • Summary: NZXT has done a good job in offering an entry level family of cases by introducing the Source series. On top of that the H2, Phantom 410 and Phantom all have obvious reasons to be part of the NZXT line-up, but the Tempest enclosures on the other hand do not seem to fit into the strategy of NZXT at...
  • Pros: Interesting looks, Two fairly quiet fans included, Internal USB 3.0 connector, Sliding locks for drive bay covers, Flexible air vent on the side, Excellent black design throughout the entire chassis, Screw-less HDD locks hold suprisingly well, ODD locks hold well, Many openings for cable manageme...
  • Cons: NZXT Source cases offer (much) better value for your money, No dust filters for intake fans, Limited I/O, 2.5 inch bay non-functional, Design may not be for everyone, Simple packaging

NZXT Tempest 210

18 October 2011
  • Conclusion: While this will all hinge on what the UK pricing ends up being, if it’s anything like the US recommended price of $55, this will be a great budget case. If NZXT can price this around £35, I would recommend this over many high end options.
  • Pros: Good cable management, Cooling is quiet and has expansive potential, Looks good for a budget case, USB 3.0 connector at the front, Toolless installs are strong
  • Cons: No dust filters in the floor or side panels, Plastic feet instead of rubber, Interior is a little cramped
