Good but not Great

Chris C., Newegg
13 December 2014
  • Summary: For over $200 I expected better construction. Overall it wasn't a bad case to build in, but it could have been better.
  • Pros: -Has lots of room and nice cable management. -The LED's are a nice touch, the kids love to play with them. -The filters haven't had a chance to get dirty yet, but they look like they will come in handy. -A couple different options for Radiator support -Has a nice sleek profile, so it looks nice
  • Cons: -The hard drive trays are cheap plastic, if you are mounting a SSD it really get flimsy since you don't have the sides of the hard drive supporting the plastic. - The top is more cheap plastic. Some of the plastic studs/latches attaching it were already broken off when I received it. - More plast...

few things to add

brian f., Newegg
13 December 2014
  • Summary: fx 8350 still holds up for every possible use for the pc
  • Pros: high end case but with a few issues..
  • Cons: - why on earth does this case and alot of other cases have 4 dvd/ 5.25 drive bays? save the space and add more harddrive cages! these 5.25 bays get in the way !. i dont need more then 1 or 2 of them. maximum should be 3 of these.... - make the front dust filter and top dust filter easy to remove....

a more indepth review

brian f., Newegg
7 June 2014
  • Summary: personally id rate it 3.5 stars out of 5. so about 70% out of 100.
  • Pros: ive had alot more time to go over everything with this case. - the fans are in perfect locations for cooling. - the extra fan mount supports a 120/140 fan infront of the -harddrive cages very nice touch to help cool your graphics card or ram. - colour scheme, hue lighting, the window and how the ...
  • Cons: - needs more space for cable management at the back - cheap feeling dust filters - fan wires and the wires included with this case feel cheap - door feels cheap and should open up about 180 degrees - the bottom of the case should be all metal with alot of holes in it instead of being wide open......

ok case

brian f., Newegg
2 June 2014
  • Summary: i have an 8 core beast of a cpu fx 8350
  • Pros: been using this case all day. i was expecting more. the fans are really weak that come with this case. they dont push alot of airflow thats dissapointing. i know they wanted quiet but id rather have a stronger fan and if its to loud turn it down with the fan controller. the front door that swings...

All and A very good case

Anonymous, Newegg
4 May 2014
  • Pros: As all the reviews say this case is big has plenty of room and very good airflow cable management is top notch the lighting in the case is very good the hue option to change the colors of the lighting is brilliant the fan speed controls on the top are very nice it's very easy to build a very good...
  • Cons: I just finished my custom liquid loop in this case, I used a 360 radiator which according to their specs should have fit no problem in a push/pull configuration well after a lot of grinding cutting drilling modding I did get it to work and it does look brilliant but it was very difficult

Great case, but with a few critical flaws

Christopher S., Newegg
5 January 2014
  • Summary: TLDR version: NZXT's marketing statement "Push the envelope and utilize liquid cooling systems that feature a push-pull configuration with top 280/360mm and bottom 240/280mm radiators up to 2 1/3 inches (60mm) thickness for unmatched performance" is blatantly false as a class-leading 60mm thick UT60...
  • Pros: A very nicely configured full size case with lots of room for air flow. Nice built-in features like: * Fully integrated and configurable lighting with front panel lighting controls * A pre-wired fan controller with 4 separately controlled fan zones (front, top, rear, bottom) * Very convenient and...
  • Cons: The marketing text on the main page for this case should be changed, because it is false advertising. This is what it says: "Push the envelope and utilize liquid cooling systems that feature a push-pull configuration with top 280/360mm and bottom 240/280mm radiators up to 2 1/3 inches (60mm) thic...

Looks great, few complaints.

Cody S., Newegg
25 November 2013
  • Summary: Overall I'm happy with the case, regardless of my review and complaints, as most of the flaws are minor.
  • Pros: Mainly giving this 3 eggs for looks and its size. Plenty of room/airflow and looks really great with custom light wheel. Cable management is fairly good if you take the time to do it. I like the I/O panel light in the rear, very helpful in finding your ports.
  • Cons: When I received mine the dust filter in the front of the case had come off its bracket and was freely rattling around, I had to tip the case upside down and take the front off to get at it. The side panels are somewhat difficult to take off compared to other cases I've owned, if you're not carefu...

Great Case, just flawed

Alex T., Newegg
23 August 2013
  • Summary: The case was a pleasure to work in, and really does its job well. The design flaws just need to be hammered out for the next round of cases, whatever those might be. Still a quality product
  • Pros: Large- Plenty of space to work with when assembling a pc Great Airflow- The stock cooling is great, and even allows for further fan installation. Temps in the case are great, and there don't appear to be any hotspots while operating. Aesthetically Pleasing- The case is beautiful, and the LEDs are...
  • Cons: A few cons that I ran across while building a new pc. Heavy With no Easy way to Carry- This problem was the same with the original Phantom, although, with a case this size, one would think that you wouldn't be moving it around a lot. Still something to take into consideration. 200mm Fan Filters F...

Bad Experience with an otherwise wonderful product.

james t., Newegg
25 June 2013
  • Summary: This is an easily avoidable bad experience with this company. It makes me wonder whether the premium prices are preferable to deals in order to have a satisfying unboxing experience.
  • Pros: If this review was solely based on the quality and style of this unit, it would receive a 5 egg rating from this review. As with all of the NZXT Phantom series the style is futuristic and impressive. It even includes ties for cable management. The matte finish is smooth and sleek, and all of the ...
  • Cons: This has been my first experience purchasing anything from NewEgg, and our relationship's foundation is already on rocky waters. My purchase was well under the list price due to promotions, therefore some of the imperfections were excusable. Shipping: The outside packaging was torn and stressed. ...

Robin B., Newegg
1 May 2013
  • Pros: Big, good air flow, nice look.
  • Cons: After have the case for a couple months my LEDs don't even turn on. I have been tring to fix the wiring but I can't. I wish I could fix it but the wiring is bad.
