Case great - Support awful!

David N., Newegg
15 April 2015
  • Pros: The case is big enough to support practically every build. Although parts are plastic and the price tag high, I am over all pleased. I took off the front panel that goes over the front external drive bays.
  • Cons: I have had a few washers break, 4 to be precise. I have been in contact and arguing with them to replace them for almost a week. Still not luck - did you notice that I am asking for four (4!) washers to be replaced. For those of you who expect top rate support, don't expect it. It could be an iso...

Huge case

Roman K., Newegg
6 July 2013
  • Summary: I bought this case mostly for its size and aesthetics, its really upsetting to open such a premium product to find it not being in the condition that I would expect it to be in. Have not yet tested the leds and other features.
  • Pros: Huge case, lots of room for everything, looks cool.
  • Cons: Came with scratches on the window door that looked like they were touched up. Not sure how Nzxt thinks that selling a $250 case that looks like its been used is acceptable.

  • Pros: Same as the previous post.
  • Cons: With my previous review it was brought to my attention that NewEgg is only the warehouse and the quality control Issues I experienced were solely the manufacturer's fault. I thank NewEgg's wonderful promotions but the manufacturer should know better. -1 egg

Phantom 820 Review

Shawn W., Newegg
11 May 2013
  • Summary: My experience with this case has ended in disappointment. It is clear that a lot of careful planning went into the case, and accessories. The little case with all of the case screws and such was a very nice touch. The case is very nice to look at, and when it works, it does a very good job.
  • Pros: Aesthetically pleasing. Sharp angles and rounded edges. Definitely a conversation piece. Plenty of room, and build experience was very easy. Steel cabinet was very solid, and did not bend (with exception of the side panels). Cable routing is very well done. Airflow was more than adequate, and the...
  • Cons: The disappointment began when the bottom front fan filter fastener switch broke during the first two weeks of ownership; however, it didn't pose much of a problem as the filter fit quite snug into the cabinet. The second instance occurred on removal of the optical drive in order to remove the fro...

Great case, terrible care/handling

payto, Amazon
20 February 2013
  • Summary: I would advise against purchasing this kind of thing from Amazon (maybe even NZXT). I ordered this case and selected the 2 day Prime shipping. 2 days later, the case gets to my door. The brown box packaging was in perfect condition, no dents, rips, holes, etc.

Looked great, but after getting my hands on it - not a fan

Thenecron, Amazon
5 January 2013
  • Summary: I was extremely excited for this case. It had lighting built into it, and just looked great. I got the case, and started my build, and immediately ran into difficulties with the case. I haven't seen another review mention these difficulties, so maybe it was just me, or my case that was bad.

Some Quality Control Issues...

mystery9401, Amazon
19 December 2012
  • Summary: Pros: - Room for everything - Excelleng cooling capability (when it all works, see cons) - Quiet - Overall build quality seems good though I can understand why some wouldn't want any plastic in a case of this price range. However, with few exceptions, everything feels sturdy.

Some Quality Control Issues...

Aaron G., Newegg
19 December 2012
  • Summary: The price of this case alone puts it in what should be the upper echelon of computer cases. Yes, there are more expensive cases but at $250 you're getting pretty far up there. As such, one would expect things to be done right (wiring, etc) and work (fan controller) right out of the box.
  • Pros: - Room for everything - Excelleng cooling capability (when it all works, see cons) - Quiet - Overall build quality seems good though I can understand why some wouldn't want any plastic in a case of this price range. However, everything feels sturdy. - Nice lighting featuers and options, though I'...
  • Cons: - It's huge, of course if you have space for it this isn't really a con and I knew this when I got it so no egg was taken off. - It's heavy. At 32 lbs empty, this isn't your lanparty case. (no eggs taken for this) - The matte black is nice and I like it, but it does seem to pick up smudges and fi...

Waste of money.

Catherine S., Newegg
27 November 2012
  • Summary: I bought this strckly for Room, Filters and cable management. I needed all easy access filters because where I live dust is an issue. If you make a case with filters you should make sure that you can get to every single one with ease, Should never envolve a screw driver or completly removing top and...
  • Pros: -Led lite with HUe adjustment -Plenty of room -Good airflow -Superior Cable management
  • Cons: It states in the Overview "Easily removable filters located in the top, front, side, and bottom" This is completly wrong. Yes they are all removable but only the bottome ones are. The side filter you have to take off the fan to get to filter(Screw driver). The top filters you need to completly re...
