Great, quiet HTPC case

Jerry S., Newegg
12 November 2013
  • Summary: Lianli's customer service was great in sending me a new power supply so quickly, and now I am a completely satisfied customer.
  • Pros: Very quiet, easy to put together, looks good.
  • Cons: The first power supply had major coil whine. I e-mailed Lianli and they dispatched me a new power supply the same day and with the new PSU the case is now super silent.

User Review

  • Conclusion: Installation of hardware in the PC-Q12 wasn’t exactly a smooth experience but was far from difficult. Thankfully, the power supply lacks a ton of cables, so tucking the unwanted wires away wasn’t all that difficult. With the side panel off, getting the I/O shield in place was simple. After that,...

This Cases Rocks

Denis L., Newegg
11 February 2013
  • Pros: This case is great. The quality is superb. I'm pairing it with an Asus Mini ITX motherboard and four 7200 RPM WD 2.5" drives
  • Cons: It's expensive and small. But... you get what you pay for. It comes with a high quality (and silent) fan and power supply.

Great for HTPC

Joel N., Newegg
6 February 2013
  • Pros: Nice light case. Quiet. Efficient. Of course its tight, but it will fit anywhere in you entertainment center. The power LED is too bright so I disconnected it from the MB. Left the HD light attached.
  • Cons: It wasn't free. Oh, and the case was a little bent, but was easily brought true with some light, even pressure.

Awesome Lian Li case

Pramod R., Newegg
22 January 2013
  • Summary: I ordered a Koutech IO-UU230 USB 3.0 20-Pin Dual Type-A Adapter so I can connect the USB cables to the motherboard directly instead of snaking out of the unit. I hope it fits my MB; Small issues but won't drop a egg for this great unit; You have to see it in person to appreciate it.
  • Pros: 1) Sleek looking Mini ITX case; Just the way I wanted with no 3.5" HDD and no CD/DVD drive trays; 2) I used ASUS P8Z77-I Deluxe, Intel Core i7-3770K (stock CPU fan) along with Samsung SSD 830. 3) Power supply is the best I have ever seen bundled with a case and seems adequate (despite a 4 pin con...
  • Cons: 1) Front USB 3.0; My shipped unit still uses front panel USB 3 cables to be snaked out the back and plugged into the motherboards external USB ports; May be I got a older unit as I heard they changed the design to internal 20 pin connector; It looks ugly in the back and takes up back USB ports; 2...

Exactly what I wanted

Alexander J., Newegg
17 November 2012
  • Summary: This is housing an i7 3770s with Samsung MV-3V4G3D/US ram (the popular 1.35v one) and a 128gb Samsung 830. Motherboard is the Intel DH77DF with a mini-pcie WIFI card. I love that a build can be as simple as this, but be so powerful.
  • Pros: Efficient use of space. I love that there is no 5.25" bay or headphone jacks, things I never use on an HTPC. Included fan is quiet and seems to move air, the computer is running cool so far. Case is absolutely BEAUTIFUL, with or without the base. I didn't connect the LEDs on the front, so I can't...
  • Cons: 1.) Only has space for 2.5" drives. I know space is tight, but they might have arranged it somehow. Don't think I'm ever going to fill all four 2.5" slots. 2.) Even though they have upgraded the USB3 FPIO with an internal connector, they seem to not have changed the case. There is still a slot to...

Very nice box

Anonymous, Newegg
6 November 2012
  • Summary: I've never bought a Lian Li box though everything I've ever read says they build great products. The right side of the case is the motherboard tray and is a thick aluminum slab. Completely stiff and easy to work on.
  • Pros: Fit and finish are top notch. Plenty of room for a mini-ITX build. Looks good. Cable management is pretty easy but I only have one drive installed at this point.
  • Cons: None yet -- I just finished building into it.

Great Render Node

Harry S., Newegg
12 September 2012
  • Summary: This is my first 100% build, not just a modification. I wanted to make my own render node. I put it together in a few hours! Once I figured out how it had to go together (it's a tight fit), everything just fell into place. I am also using a Noctua NH-L12 (but without the 120mm top fan).
  • Pros: The fit and finish is great. And the included fan is super quiet. The side panels snap on with a solid deep sounding click. Everything about the case is straight-forward and essential. The design beautifully minimal. The power supply has just the right amount of power for my purpose.
  • Cons: The front panel USB 3 plugs are meant to be snaked out the back and plugged into the motherboards external USB ports. It would have been great if they included a pin adapter for the motherboard.

Great Case

Randy T., Newegg
15 August 2012
  • Summary: Again, very nice case. Recommended.
  • Pros: Very nice construction. Very easy to assemble and very quite fan. Overall the layout is very well thought out.
  • Cons: It would be very cool if they had figured out a way to integrate a slim optical drive but I knew that going in.

Awesome HTPC Case

Lamont C., Newegg
4 July 2012
  • Summary: Plan well before assembly or like me you will disassemble a couple times before you get it right. Don't forget to pull the USB3 Cables thru the back slot before you mount board. Missed that in instructions and had to tear all apart to moved them.
  • Pros: This is an awesome little HTPC Case, it is dead quiet and found to be very well built. Installed a Intel Mini ITX Board and used a Noctua NH-L12 and it fit. WOW. The board is contolling the top fan and CPU Fan, the power supply fan runs only as needed. Running with SataIII SSD, and 1TB WD and all...
  • Cons: This box as you may imagine is tight, well laid out if you plan ahead. No place for CD Drive but USB Drive works so take for what it is worth. LED HD built into power switch is a little bright and obnoxious (Changes Colors with HD Activity) Wish they gave you a sticker to cover it up as it is adv...
