Cute and Tiny

Josh S., Newegg
3 April 2014
  • Summary: The HDD light is bright, as others have mentioned, but doesn't bother me. I find it kind of peaceful, actually. :) High profile CPU fans might be a problem, but the stock i7-2600K one fits just fine.
  • Pros: The case is nice and small, perfect for an HTPC destined to live on a bookshelf or something. Its construction is solid and thoughtful. It was very easy to set up, not at all what I expected from such a small case.
  • Cons: As others have mentioned, the PSU has no slim power connector, which seems like an oversight given this case only supports slim optical drives.

Great Case

Craig E., Newegg
15 September 2013
  • Pros: High quality case, no sharp edges, easy to assemble, cable lengths from power supply are sufficient . The front panel USB jacks are now connected to a proper motherboard header and no longer run out the back of the case as previous reviewers had mentioned. Motherboard standoffs were correct (once...
  • Cons: The only con, are the two USB's on the front panel have a slight offset making inserting a USB cable require a little more force. Not a huge deal, and not worth the removal of an egg.

Great HTPC

Steven S., Newegg
11 September 2013
  • Summary: Some have complained about the metal legs. I just popped off the bottom and removed them, 4 screws. I replaced them with 4 nice thick felt pads. Instead of powering the Chassis off of a power supply lead, I removed the power adapter and plugged it into the motherboard.
  • Pros: Beautiful HTPC case. It looks great with my other Audio/Video equipment. Small but still plenty of room for my build. There is plenty of airflow to keep the components cool. I really like the screw less opening features.
  • Cons: The power supply is a little louder than I would've liked, but I can live with it. Even though only a Slim style DVD can be used in this case there is no Slim SATA power lead off of the power supply and no adapter from SATA to Sim SATA was included with the case

Update to prior review

Brian G., Newegg
18 January 2013
  • Summary: I was the guy who wrote that the USB 3.0 cables were terrible. I sent an email to Lian LI back when I wrote my original review. They sent me, free of charge, an updated set of cables with the motherboard header, so I no longer need to use the pass through cables.
  • Pros: Great looks, compact.
  • Cons: Gets hot in there!

Great AMD APU case

Aaron A., Newegg
30 December 2012
  • Pros: Excellent form factor for AMD ITX motherboard. This is about the smallest case size you can buy that can hold the itx board, internal PSU, and leave enough space for cooling. I tried to build an AMD APU 100W build in a micro case the size of the itx board with an external pico PSU but it failed d...
  • Cons: Does not have a PCI slot which limits it to integrated graphics such as AMD APUs. There looks to be space for one in case someone industrious enough wants to perform a case mod. Also the front panel USB cable pass through to the back is lame but a second case a friend ordered had properly termina...

Okay overall

Brian G., Newegg
27 December 2012
  • Summary: I will have to try and find a replacement setup for this USB 3.0 front panel issue I am having.
  • Pros: Looks nice, and is small. Will make a nice HTPC.
  • Cons: Front panel USB 3.0 connector is terrible. It should have a header to connect to a motherboard, instead it is 2 USB cables that snake out the back of the case and plug into the USB 3.0 ports in the back I/O panel. It totally ruins the compact feeling of the case to have wires dangling out of the ...

Very nice

Bayron A., Newegg
11 December 2012
  • Summary: Just becareful for someone trying to get a 3.5 hard drive in there. the way to go is with the 2.5 hard drives.
  • Pros: It can hold one 3.5 and two 2.5 hard drives. Power supply is very quiet. Looks excellent on my projector theater setup.
  • Cons: The only thing I can think of is if you are installing a 3.5 hard drive you must have a very low profile cpu cooler or otherwise the fan will hit the hard drive. I would recommend just using the 2.5 hard drives and removing the 3.5 hard drive's bracket to be able to have a big cpu fan and heatsin...

User Review

Michael C., Newegg
28 November 2012
  • Pros: LIAN LI has updated this case to include a USB 3.0 header INSIDE the case. There is no need to buy a separate adapter like I did. THANKS LIAN LI for this!! Newegg has not updated the description or case pictures for this. Putting together the entire system was very easy. The snap on top and botto...
  • Cons: The PSU is noisy. There is no way to adjust it so the only way to solve the problem is to buy a Pico PSU. The noise is not unbearable and when you watch a TV show or movie you don't hear it, but you can't say it is "silent" and if you want complete silence the PSU will have to be replaced. There ...

PC-Q09FNB

David S., Newegg
26 November 2012
  • Summary: so... im not sure why there are such low marks for this case. one can clearly see the layout/anatomy if this case in the pictures prior to purchase. this case is virtually silent, save for the whisper of the one case fan. a slim slot-load dvd or bluray burner fits seamlessly.
  • Pros: SIZE style up to date quiet
  • Cons: feet of case are not rubber/soft case does not build itself power/hdd led might be bright for some

Looks nice but poor quality control

Paul B., Newegg
11 November 2012
  • Summary: Too bad about the sloppy elements of design and execution, ruins a good looking case made of great materials.
  • Pros: Beautiful looking case and the materials used are excellent. All aluminum and comes with vibration free mounts for the 2.5" hdd. Can't find a better looking little case
  • Cons: Not well executed. There's room wasted in this small case by having a ps that doesn't fit well. There's room for one low profile expansion slot, but none was provided. Also, the motherboard stand off holes don't line up with the holes in ANY mini-ITX motherboard, they were obviously put in the wr...
