  • Conclusion: Luckily we’ve got a pair of offers in the market giving us compatibility for full-sized GPUs. One of them is the Silverstone SG-07 Mini ITX case, and of course the second one is the PC-Q08 from Lian-Li. The PC-Q08 bundles some interesting features making it very attractive; including 6 bays for 3.5″ HDDs/SSDs, 1 bay for 2.5″ HDDs/SSDs, 2 full sized PCI slots for a high-end GPU and a pair of fans to improve cooling.

  • Conclusion: So we know it has great, Lian Li style. The two cooling fans keep the quad-core gaming rig nice and cool while still kbeing quiet. But the real question is what did my wife thing of it, right? After spending time with the case she was impressed with its overall style and she didn’t experience any “issues” with it, meaning no overheating problems . I did find that our cats love sitting on top of it due to its easy to reach size and the warmth of the PC.

Benchmark Reviews
25 November 2010
  • Conclusion: The performance of the Lian-Li PC-Q08 is very good. From all the ITX cases I've tested up to this date (December 2010), this one has got the best features like 7 drive bays, full 300mm GPU compatibility and 2 big fans to improve ventilation. If there was something to complain about, it has been already said in the final thoughts section.

Silent PC
27 September 2010
  • Summary: The Lian Li PC-Q08 has several qualities that make it a great mini-ITX/DTX case. What we noticed most compared to other cases was its impressive overall fit and finish. It has a sturdy, all-aluminum exterior construction that not only looks great, but is noticeably less flimsy than the Silverstone Sugo SG07 . Everything on the inside seems to be fairly well thought out, making installation of components inside the enclosure a breeze.
  • Pros: Quality construction, Fans have good acoustics, Supports ATX power supply,, Very small size to hold up to six 3.5" HDDs, Good clearance: 11 cm CPU cooler, 11.8" graphics card, Front USB 3.0 ports
  • Cons: Prone to vibration, CPU area gets hot

Lian Li PC-Q08 Mini ITX Case

Overclock3D
23 August 2010
  • Conclusion: Alas, I return to my original story. The right computer chassis will last multiple generations of system builds. They will cool today's and tomorrow's system components without fuss and they will not fall to pieces when life moves you from one location to another. From an aesthetics point of view, perhaps this case could be considered as bland. This in itself is not a disadvantage or a flaw as that's the exact intention of the PC-Q08.
  • Pros: Lian Li Trademark Build Quality, Completely Modular; a clean slate for modders, Cooling Performance, Reasonably Quiet
