I enjoy Lian-Li cases

Anthony C., Newegg
1 September 2012
  • Summary: This has been my 3rd lian li case and I gotta say they've improved much with each one they dish out, one point I love of these cases are there sheer blank state they come for anyone to customize them and great for modding up the wazoo.
  • Pros: I enjoyed working with this particular case, I enjoy the removable m/b tray, tool less psu holder, and tool less gpu holder as well very sturdy. Great air flow but with great air flow comes great flow of dust but that's a given for any case with good air flow.
  • Cons: Unfortunately there's no such thing as a perfect case, this particular one doesn't give a very good support for those looking to do water cooling, and I wish this case had more tool less features like previous cases, and a bit of sound dampening material but if all this was included than price wo...

The PC-P80N is one great case, but does have some flaws that bug me...

A R., Newegg
9 August 2012
  • Summary: Not really a negatives just pointing some more stuff out: - Bottom hard drive cage unusable? I'm not too sure of this, but I don't think you are able to use the bottom hard drive cage, unless you have a 2.5 SSD. You can't even open the door, unlike the other 2 HD cages.
  • Pros: - Very light compare to other clunky, steel, plastic cases. - Lots of room to work with, after all, it is a HTPX case. - All fans are included with the case (5 'quiet' 140mm fans + 1 120mm in the rear) - Aluminum structure - Both USB 3.0 (4) front ports are motherboard internal headers, not stand...
  • Cons: Maybe I'm just picky with cases but there are some pretty noticeable flaws with this case: - Front panel does not close properly; someone else mentioned this in another review, my case has the same problem. Front panel does not close properly, and because of that, there is some vibration that you...

Impressive

David W., Newegg
4 July 2012
  • Summary: As I stated before, Lian Li focuses on the case rather than the parts that come with it. Which is fine because I am sure most people have watercooling or high end aftermarket fans in mind.
  • Pros: This very massive case has many features and future-proofing capabilities. I bought this case for the sr-2 because at the time it was the one of the very few that supported it. Besides, it looked better than most of the other cases. I really didn't want to bother with ordering mountain mods cube ...
  • Cons: There was only one thing that actually bugged me. The top of the case had plenty of room for more fans. It used 140mm instead of 120mm. Rads are commonly found in the 120mm format. - Top has 2 x 140mm instead of 3 x 120mm. - Less watercooling orientated. Hell, you can't even fit a H-80 rad on the...

Too many corners cut

Anonymous, Newegg
24 May 2012
  • Pros: Fantastic lay out, could be perfect if abit more consideration was given to internal radiator support -Love the top fan pannel -Design improvment on my PC-80 -Overpriced due to cut corners by lian li (see cons)
  • Cons: 1st of all Quality Control is getting much worse at Lian li, I had bubbly paint on the bottom of the front door 2. No LED fans , for case of this cost, should come with LED fans with a switch next to fan speed controller to turn LEDs on and off 3.Poor watercooling options , The top rad has to be ...

Lian Li PC-P80

Brian M., Newegg
12 May 2012
  • Summary: Lian Li puts a lot of effort into their work. Definitely a brand I trust with a great tack record for quality.
  • Pros: This is a monster of a tower. You'll never lack for room with this case so stuffing all your water cooling, enormous motherboard, 3 graphics cards, etc... is easy. I use this tower as a leg end for my desk it's so tall. The overall build and finish is of the highest quality and can be felt everyw...
  • Cons: My only cons for this tower are for personal reasons not engineering defects of any kind. I would have liked if the black on the outside was inside the case as well. Sometimes the door with the fans is a pain because I have to open it (super lazy complaint right?) to access my CD driver and card ...

  • Summary: BIG BIG CASE! I know people complain about such thins all the time but this is what the Dimensions section in Specifications is there for people. Over all, satisfied with the case, lots of room, lots of expansion slots
  • Pros: Light Weight Reversible Door "Easily" removed dust Catcher in front of fans on door Vibration Dampening HDD mounts (for those who hit their desk often i assume) E-ATX Compatible... Analog controller for fans in the door (dims and brightens the fans when going slower and faster, respectively)
  • Cons: The door being reversible is semi-questionable. Its poorly machined so if you reverse the direction of the door it no longer sits properly and catches and rubs when you try to close it. No LED control for the fans, i never turn my computer off so when i goto sleep i would like to turn the LEDs of...

4 processors 2 M-Boards ect Later

Tim M., Newegg
18 April 2012
  • Summary: I like knowing I could throw a dual CPU board in if I want to.
  • Pros: Have had this case apart allot. Several processors two motherboards, SSDs HDs, ect and I like it more now than when I first got it. This is well put together and made to make working on it easy. Please also see cons if you are considering this case.
  • Cons: I really like this case but I would recommend considering a few things before purchasing. Do you want the drive bays to show on the front of your case? There are allot of cool gauges and stuff that just get dusty and covered in this case. Do you want to mount an internal radiator? Without mudding...

9 March 2012
  • Summary: I almost complained but decided to investigate before I looked like an idiot. The top panel EASILY pops loose. Pulling a USB will remove the top panel with it. Although, I found two fasteners through the ceiling just inside of the front panel fixes this.
  • Pros: This case is both massive and simple. At first I was skeptical of the clamps for the PCI(e) hardware but they work extremely well. There are tapped holes for screws should you choose not to use them. The front door, if it is not locked, is held closed by a stainless steel ball and detent rather t...
  • Cons: A static shock on the IO panel caused a system crash. See "other thoughts." The motherboard is so far from the PSU that you will need a ~22" CPU power chord and maybe longer if you plan to route it behind the motherboard panel. If your CPU connector is about this length it may be worth it to orde...

Way Overrated

Preston S., Newegg
3 January 2012
  • Summary: The documentation associated with this tower is horrible and there is little more online. Unless you can get into the designer's head about what is going on with this box, you might never discover its secrets. For example, how could I add another fan? What are the options?
  • Pros: Really quiet and well-built. The metal finishing is superior and it is solid throughout. Everything about this box says quality and smart design. Lots of room for everything. Very easy to get components into and out of, and the design is well-thought-out from top to bottom.
  • Cons: This isn't the best tower that I've ever had even though I paid a premium for it. There are other boxes with bigger fans on the sides and top, more and better air flow and more space. Next build I'll probably go back to the other high-end boxes, but save about half the Lian expense

  • Pros: Exactly what i have come to expect from Lian Li,good craftmanship, and a simple efficient design. I build and modify many system's and lian li come's as close to perfect for fit and finish as you can get and is alway's a pleasure to work with.
  • Cons: I only have one con,No key for the front cover lock. I would recomend lian li to tape the end's of the accessory box closed.
