Solid Case

Duncan C., Newegg
16 September 2014
  • Summary: Would recommend as a first time builder.
  • Pros: Used this to build my first rig and found it really easy to put everything together. Easy access to everything. Lots of fans. Pretty blue lights :P Serves its purpose.
  • Cons: Filters on some of the fans are great to keep dust out of the case, but need to be cleaned often. This is likely better than the alternative or having the case caked in dust. Less of a con, but more of a frustration/me being lazy.

Beautiful Design

  • Summary: Specs I7 2600k Asus mobo 16gb RAM g.skill 2x 7870 Radeon HD 650w corsair power supply Not a con but this case will turn your room into daylight, so if you can handle sleeping with lots of lights, then you're fine otherwise consider using this in other room other than your bedroom.
  • Pros: Very nice case with good space. Comes with 4 Filters: front, back, and power supply. Comes with lots of rubber washers. Wire management is well done. No rattle noises. Best AirFlow case I ever used.
  • Cons: I have decided to remove one egg mainly for this particular list. Granted, these are nice fans, but they tend to be loud. It's not 'that' loud compare to other low end cases fans but I highly recommend replacing for after market fans. No top filters. 3.0 USB takes one of your mobo 3.0 USB slot. e...

Beautiful

Edrin I., Newegg
7 May 2012
  • Summary: The box was in pretty good condition when it came in. It was packaged very nicely to protect it. HOWEVER, on inspection I found 4 little plastic tabs freely in the case. I didn't know what they were until after I assembled my whole pc. The top plate/casing thing had broken 4 little placeholder tabs.
  • Pros: Pretty quiet for 5 fans + cpu + gpu running. Looks nice. Lots of airflow.
  • Cons: No top mesh. Dust and whatnot can fall right on the top.

Decent for the money.

Kristy O., Newegg

  • Pros: - Was able to install a 2.5 Solid state hard drive without buying an adapter. There is a place to screw it in. - Hard drive brackets were removable so the video card would fit. (It would NOT fit without removing it - case too short.) You can remove half the upper bracket and leave the lower brack...
  • Cons: - The plastic Clips to hold wires behind the motherboard were flimsy and broke. -There is not enough space behind the motherboard to run the big power supply cables. -USB 3 wire was kinda short and may cause problems for some motherboards. -power supply "seatbelt" mechanism did not fit over my ps...

Good Case

John V., Newegg
26 April 2012
  • Summary: Overall I felt the case is pretty good. Space behind the motherboard tray was adequate enough. 5.25 bay covers if you touch them with your fingers the fingerprints wont go away even with washing so be careful, it wasn't a big deal for me though since I filled up all the bays.
  • Pros: Great tool less features for the 5.25 inch bays, hard drive bays, and the best tool less pci bracket implementation I've ever seen. No screws for the pci brackets its just flip it out, stick the card in, and flip it back in and its good to go. Fan dust filters are easy to take out and put back on...
  • Cons: CPU cutout is too small to be able to fit my cpu cooler backplate without having to put it on beforehand and then installing the atx board. The cable management clamp channel, one of the lowest plastic tabs broke off when I tried to open it and I was disappointed with how thin the plastic used fo...

Great Design

Rob S., Newegg
20 April 2012
  • Summary: I usually prefer aluminum cases; this is my first steel case in about 10 years. I hesitated at first, glad I gave it a go because the quality of the design and case overcome it not being aluminum! The plastic front and top are decent quality for plastic as well.
  • Pros: LIAN Li design is always impressive so I gave the Lan Cool series a try for economics. I was not disappointed! Great LIAN Li design quality within a very reasonable cost. -The tool-less PCI card holder is outstanding. -The size and space is excellent and allows for plenty of room, especially for ...
  • Cons: The tool-less optical drive holder is less than adequate, but can be overcome (thankfully) by using screws to secure. Because it can be overcome I have not taken an egg away.

User Review

David L., Newegg
11 April 2012
  • Summary: This is a great case, one that I will keep and have for a long time. I personally have always had bad cases and it's one of the last upgrades I got.. however it's worth the investment considering the build quality/aesthetics/airflow.
  • Pros: There are a couple of things to add on here. -Visually appealing is a good start, the blue looks like and the body shape is very nice to look at especially the sort of fin like ventilation for the top fans. -The fans are actually Lian Li fans which is a nice addition especially sense the Lancool ...
  • Cons: -The top and front panel detach easily so that you can add filters to your fans and make adjustments, however if you are working on the case without the side panels which holds these in place you should just take them off I found it pretty annoying holding on and having them come off a bunch. ( n...

Quite decent case

Anonymous, Newegg
31 March 2012
  • Summary: I don't much like the black interior, that's not an engineering mishap, so it doesn't deserve to be counted as a con, but I'll mention it anyway. My last case was an unpainted metal of some sort, and I could easily see what the hell I was doing.
  • Pros: PCI slot mechanism works like a charm, even if I don't use them often. I LOVE the top exhaust, the inclined fins allow air to blow out, but don't allow dust in the air to fall down into the case. A quick pass with a swiffer cloth or a hand-vacuum and the dust is gone. Filters work, but they get d...
  • Cons: Space behind the motherboard tray is... cramped, to put it simply. There is a vertical groove supplied to manage cables travelling from the top of the case to the bottom, but when you first get the case it's already full of front I/O cables. The real challange is the 24-pin power cable, I had to ...

Worth the money

Michael G., Newegg
14 March 2012
  • Pros: This is my first "higher end" case, for my second build ever. It is so refreshing to see good design, so much fun to work with. It is big, but that gives you lots of space. A lot can be moved around as needed (if you have an oversize graphics card, you can move the hard drive cage). I like how th...
  • Cons: Documentation as good as far as cases go, but would have liked more detailed explanations of assembly from a high end case. No worth taking off an egg, though.

Simple But Beautiful!

Anonymous, Newegg
12 March 2012
  • Pros: It's heavy. Solid, thick panels. The PCI tool less feature is actually very solid and functional plus it looks cool. Removable hard drive cages, filters on all the intake fans, rubber grommets already installed on each fan plus a bag full of extras. Rubber grommets for the HDD/SDD's. Fans are ver...
  • Cons: It's heavy! It doesn't have rubber or silicon grommets for the DVD/Blu Ray drives.
