Good HTPC case

Jereme M., Newegg
12 September 2014
  • Summary: This case looks great with dark Korean furniture and matches it very well. In my particular build, I had a Cooler Master GEMIN II S524 that, basically, wiped out the front HDD/SSD cage (so, not mounting HDD/SSD in that location). This left me with the rear cage above the PSU open.
  • Pros: - Very customizable - Has room for smaller HS+fan designs (such as the Cooler Master GEMIN II S524) - Has plenty of room for a larger GPU IF you remove some of the SSD/HDD/ODD cages (up to 250mm = 9.84in) - All aluminum design keeps everything cooler (everything is aluminum) - Plenty of ventilati...
  • Cons: - Can get a little annoying having to take at least 6 screws off (2 thumb-screws in the rear and 4 for a HDD/SSD/ODD cage) just to get to some components on the motherboard - maximum PSU length is 150mm (5.9in) and that is, literally, the maximum length - Micro ATX, Mini DTX, and Mini ITX standar...

Everything you need in a small case

Jonathan M., Newegg
23 February 2014
  • Summary: I purchased this from another vendor as NewEgg was out of stock at the time, hence no verified ownership
  • Pros: I bought this for a HTPC due to the shallow depth. There aren't many cases with these dimensions, so I was happy to find a Lian Li case that did. I've built several systems in different Lian Li cases and they're always great. This is no exception. Yes it's a cramped case, but that's inevitable be...
  • Cons: My case has 5 hard drives and 1 optical squished into this tiny case, all in the stock setup. The system drive is a mSATA on the motherboard, I have a second 2.5" SSD for user & program data and 3x 2TB 3.5" regular drives in RAID5. That's pretty much the ideal HTPC setup if you're not going to ru...

If I could give it six eggs, I would.

Steven S., Newegg
18 February 2014
  • Summary: If you want to migrate your existing microATX build to a HTPC case, this is a great choice!
  • Pros: Amazing build quality, and amazing customer service. This case contains my HTPC, a quad-core FM1, and thanks to the fantastic ventillation, operates at near-room temperature when idle. For a case barely a foot deep, it has a surprising amount of internal space. All the PSU cables can just coil up...
  • Cons: The screw heads seem a bit soft. I get the feeling I'll need to buy some of my own in a tougher material.

Excellent HTPC case

Jason S., Newegg
9 February 2013
  • Summary: i3 2120T 4GB ddr3 ram ASRock H77M mobo LG blu ray Samsung 840 pro 128GB ssd Corsair CX430M Lian Li PC-C50B
  • Pros: -great looking -aluminum -Lian Li quality -fits mATX mobo nicely -LG blu-ray drive fit no problem at all -did I mention this case looks amazing? Just like home AV equipment should -narrow enough to fit on any shelf -good airflow, despite the hdd cages -drive flip down door is a really nice touch,...
  • Cons: -expensive -small screws feel delicate, like they would easily strip the threads in the aluminum if you aren't careful -hdd cages are a bit of a pain to remove, seems like it could have been simpler -led power/reset lights are too bright for a htpc case, I unplugged mine -fans are loud if used on...

Love It

Gerard S., Newegg
22 January 2013
  • Summary: If you have limited space and want something that will run cool this is definitely the case you need.
  • Pros: This case rocks. It is a bit of a jigsaw puzzle to assemble but once you have it all put together it is magnificent. Its very tidy. I have an I5-3550 in it and a radeon 7850 graphics card and it stays nice and cool even when I am gaming on it for long periods of time. The space around the CPU is ...
  • Cons: Assembly is a pain in the neck. Wish it had a removable MB tray.

Response to last reviewer about lights

Alex M., Newegg
20 July 2012
  • Pros: Just a response to the last viewer - this case does have a power light. The power button is actually a light, but the LED requires the correct polarity to light up - try reversing the motherboard connector for both the power light and HDD activity light. The reset button is a red HDD activity lig...
  • Cons: LEDs require the correct polarity. Nothing to do with this case :-)

Best Media Center Case

James W., Newegg
16 July 2012
  • Summary: If you want a Media Center Case that will fit on a shelf, you are into Micro ATX, want to use your existing Power supply and want lots of bays this is your case.
  • Pros: Fits a Wall Mounted Shelf Perfectly. Cooling is Excellent, no extra fans added. Its really really quiet. Lots of drive bays, for its size. Used my existing 750 watt Modular Power Supply.
  • Cons: No Power Indicator light.. with it being so quiet hard to tell if it on, lol.

Another great case from Lian Li

Alex M., Newegg
13 July 2012
  • Summary: Case components: Core 2 Duo E8500 @ 3.4 ghz Asus P5N7A-VM 8 gb Corsair DDR 2 XMS 2 RAM Sapphire Ati Radeon HD 6870 OCZ Vertex 3 90 gb HD 160 gb 2.5" HDD Antec Neo HE 430 watt PSU Sony DVD-R/W
  • Pros: High quality material is used in this case. In addition, it is very modular by design in how you can move the hard drive cages to different locations. This case is nearly inaudible even under full gaming load, more than I can say about the nMedia case it replaced. Even with a full sized Radeon 68...
  • Cons: This case has tight spacing, but I purposely wanted a smaller case so I can eventually fit it in an open front media center. It would be nicer if the PSU was placed under the CD cage so one of the 12 cm fan slots isn't partially blocked when configured on that side, but this isn't a big deal. The...

Better than Expected

Joseph T., Newegg
23 August 2011
  • Pros: Excellent build quality. Extremely lite. The front USB ports now connect directly to a 20pin USB3 header on the motherboard. The hole in the back of the case for routing the prior version's USB3 cables out of the back of the case is no longer there. It still comes with a USB3 to USB2 adapter for ...
  • Cons: On both sides of the case, along the back are two silver rivets that hold the case together. They really stand out on the black case. They probably won't be all that visible, but I would have preferred they were black to match.
