Lian Li PC-B20A Aluminum Mid-Tower ATX Case

Benchmark Reviews
27 November 2007
  • Conclusion: For once, I am pleased with the final product. It is rare that I make such blanket statements, but I can proudly recommend the Lian Li series of cases over all of the competition, with special recommendation for the PC-B20 series. At the time of this writing, both versions of the Lian Li PC-B20 series (PC-B20A or PC-B20B) start around $165. While this price is clearly on the high side, I am here to convince you that it is worth every dollar.
  • Pros: Uncompromised quality control, Research & development shine through, Features will spoil you!, High strength full-aluminum construction, Plenty of working room, Sound-dampening material on top and sides, The new measure for cases to follow, Sliding removable motherboard assembly
  • Cons: Expensive. Worth every dollar, but still expensive., Fan speed controller switch needs to be redesigned

Lian Li PC-B20

  • Conclusion: If you want a cool, quiet and well designed case with a bit of style thrown in, you’ll be impressed with the PC-B20 case. It raised the bar for case design in several areas, but mainly ease of installation and noise reduction. Of course, this kind of design and thought comes at a premium; if you can stomach the price-tag you’ll love it. I’d like to thank Lian Li for providing us with the case.
  • Pros: Tool-less design, Removable mobo tray, Excellent cooling, Stylish
  • Cons: Cost, Power supply didn’t fit
