Lian Li PC-A04

3 February 2011
  • Summary: Lian Li has gone ahead and added all their current mainstream features to the A04 and has kept the overall size comparable to the A05N, but there are a lot of differences. Dimensions are probably the only common attribute between the two enclosures. The A04 costs 10€ more out of the gate, comes with three fans instead of two, allows for a whooping seven hard drives installed and tosses in USB 3.0 connectivity as well.
  • Pros: Extremely compact ATX case, Can fit large graphics cards, Extremely light with just 4.1 kg, Can fit up to 7 hard drives, Well constructed, USB 3.0 connectivity included, One HDD bay is able to hold 2.5 inch drives, Three fans included, Rubber mounted fans, Can hold a large PSU, Can take a large CPU cooler, Great screw-less system for hard drives, Excellent screw-less system for optical drives, Front panel is easily removed, Available in black or silver, Dust filter on...
  • Cons: Way too many choices at this price point, Feet glued on, Long cables, External USB 3.0 cable, No external 3.5 inch bay, Basically no cable management possibility, Basic packaging - this case deserves better
