  • Conclusion: At the beginning of this review I was very skeptical that a smaller aluminum case would beat a modified, well-ventilated full tower case. While I am not a complete convert to aluminum camp, there are some very definite benefits.  Here are the average temperatures over 23.9 hours (Some of us have to sleep you know):

Tweak News

  • Excerpt: There is no doubt in my mind after reviewing the PC-60H3 that Lian Li is still one of the premier if not the best computer case manufacturers in the aluminum case market today. Not only did they have a major part in bringing high quality aluminum cases to the mainstream market, but they have no plans on sacrificing quality for quantity anytime in the future.

  • Summary: The Lian-Li replacement side panel really does make a difference to the aesthetics of your PC as you can see from image 3 and image 4. The panel costs $45 which won't break the bank and it saves you the hassle of drilling and Dremeling your case. As you saw from the guide, it takes approximately one and a half minutes to change the panel. No matter how good you are with power tools you are not going to get a finish like this.
  • Pros: Looks beautiful, So simple to install, Makes you more attractive to girls
  • Cons: Could use a side fan hole

  • Summary: The Lian-Li is a beautiful case that is a great place to house your expensive components. The cooling on the case is less than stellar but because most people mod these cases with top blowholes and side fans, that can be altered to your own specs, the standard cooling may not be an issue for you. One point I must note is that the case gets very dirty with fingerprints very quickly. Aluminum is very tough to clean, you really don't want to use polish or anything harsh.
  • Pros: Very lightweight & oh so shiny, Looks very expensive girls will like you more, More thumbscrews than a kinky dungeon, Aluminum is a great heat disperser, Removable motherboard tray
  • Cons: Without modification cooling is not that great, Finger marks show up very easily, No power supply included

Lian Li PC-60USB: A New Perspective

PC Perspective
26 October 2001
  • Excerpt: This is a review of the Lian Li PC-60USB. What my intention with this review is to give readers a little insight into the land of proper case cooling. Lian Li is certainly just that. I have yet to ever see a bad review of any of their cases in the way of its cooling abilities. However, most reviews suggest modding or in fact the review is of a modded Lian Li. This is not what I was looking for, nor my intended target.

Lian-Li PC60 USB Gehäuse

Au-Ja!
1 April 2004
