needs color fan

  • Summary: made a great 4 disk raid 5-in-a-box!
  • Pros: hold 4 hard drives, low vibration, slide right into my thermaltake bach case, front air filter
  • Cons: I wanted a led fan but this was a better price point. I put in a red LED fan and the glow behind the filter is not overly bright but makes the whole fan grill glow from within.

Nice Cage But......

Anonymous, Newegg
9 May 2008
  • Summary: Like I said make sure the cage fits your case or else you would have to return it. The case didnt fit all the way through the drive bay because the metal slot that was suppose to go through the hdd cage was limited. You'll know what im talking about if you look through the picture's.
  • Pros: Has a 120mm Fan, carries 4 Hdd drives,
  • Cons: Well The cage is nice and looks like it will work, but it doesn't fit on my case if it did it would look really good. So i sent the hdd cage back for a refund, but it isnt the cage's fault. BE WARNED THOUGH MAKE SURE THAT YOUR CASE IS EITHER LIAN- LI OR IT IS COMPATIBLE!!!!!! Or you would return ...

User Review

  • Pros: Very nice product. I have only installed one hdd so far without any problem. The 120mm fan is a big bonus which reduced my north bridge idle temp from 44C to 34C. I'm very happy with that.
  • Cons: none so far

NICE.

  • Summary: Buy it!
  • Pros: Nice way to expand your system. You've got 4 bays for internal hard drives, uses 3 5.25" bays. Nice looking, not too expensive. Has a fairly quiet fan and rubber sound dampening mounts for hard drives.
  • Cons: Very, very, very tight fit! I had to mess with my case a bit to fit this thing (my case is Antec Performance One P180B). I had to shave some plastic up front, but that was all. Can't see it at all, it will not mess up your case. Thinking back, I should have gotten the 3 bay that uses 2 5.25" bays...
