  • Pros: Excellent construction, do not have to remove unit to change the drives out, comes with a filter.
  • Cons: DOES NOT FIT SILVERSTONE CASES!! That is not without significant modification. Lian Li stuff does not seem to be compatible with anything but lian li, which is fine if you own a lian li!

Works great

Christopher D., Newegg
25 February 2011
  • Pros: Does exactly what it says. Holds 3 drives, good cooling, nice finish, no vibrations, easy to use and install.
  • Cons: The included fan is not as silent as I would like, but I knew this going in and I always use the fans of my choice anyway

Nice

Daniel N., Newegg
21 December 2010
  • Pros: I do enjoy this mount, it does exactly what it says, 3 5.5" to 3 noise reduction 3.5" hdd bays. The fan upfront is slightly noisy but I am used to my fluid bearing fans.
  • Cons: Didnt quite sit flush with the front bezel, just my case probably. its a ASUS Vento.

Fits like a glove

Gabriel S., Newegg
8 November 2010
  • Summary: I read the other reviews here first so I went ahead and ordered a different fan for this unit. Picked up a Scythe 120mm that runs nearly silent. Replacing the fan was relatively easy, but be careful when removing the screws.
  • Pros: I was looking to move my three HDD RAID from the bottom of my LIAN LI PC-7B plus II to the 5.25" bay. Found this guy here on Newegg and it seemed perfect. Truth is, it is perfect. Installed this right below my DVD burner with ease. The snap-down arms seem to get a really good grip on the drives a...
  • Cons: Can't call it a con, so see other thoughts.

Just got it.

James M., Newegg

  • Summary: Deducted 1 egg because of weak fan.
  • Pros: High Quality. Fits well (I have a Lian Li case). My case is silver and the black is a great offset. Plenty of room between drives for airflow. very quiet.
  • Cons: fan is a little weak. I will be upgrading the fan shortly.

Great piece of hardware.

Tory M., Newegg
1 March 2010
  • Summary: Nice quality filter too. All around a great piece of hardware. I'll probably put it in my new case when I build my next system.
  • Pros: I got this to get extra (quiet) cooling in my old CoolerMaster Praetorian (PAC-T01) case. Just barely fit, but no problems getting it in. I was also concerned whether I could swap out the stock fan (wanted to put in a PWM fan). No problem there either.
  • Cons: None.

Catharsis for the blind.

Joshua O., Newegg
8 October 2009
  • Summary: I currently have 2x 1TB WD Black HDDs mounted in it, going to use the last slot for a 2TB drive back-up as soon as the prices drop a little more.
  • Pros: Installed in my current Lian Li case easily using 3 unused DVD/CD slots. Modular. Quality construction as usual from Lian Li.
  • Cons: None.

great kit

Kerry J., Newegg
2 October 2009
  • Summary: This accessory is just a super addition to my older 60BplusII case; the benefits far outweigh the minor installations I had. I should have lubricated the mounting rails to help with this. In retrospect, I should have installed a faster fan in this unit too.
  • Pros: Helped cool interior components quite a bit and now my lower fan blows directly on my video card. Great for allowing someone to install the longest video cards without the card hitting drive cage(5870 anyone?). Fan is quiet because it runs at 1000 rpm, but provides enough hard drive cooling.
  • Cons: I little tight and a little difficult aligning to front bezel. May not work for cases other than Lian Li.
