Pros: To the previous reviewer-Attach the rubber grommets and thumbscrews to the hard drive, and then slide the drive into the bay lining up the two front grommets with the front bay slots. Then press down on the back of the drive to secure the rear grommets.
Summary: I bought this unit as I had to relocate the original EX-33N that came with my Lian Li PC-A17B to a higher bay position in the case (the graphics card I bought is long, and there was too much cable interference for my liking).
Pros: Has a quiet 120mm fan, several bays for HDs and was easy enough to slip into the case.
Cons: The bottom bay isn't really a "vibration free" bay as you can't use the supplied thumbscrews and the vibration absorbing rubber grommets/mounting washers (they're inaccessible...just examine the product pics and you'll understand when you compare the upper bays to the bottom bay). The bottom bay ...
Summary: Mounts with rubber grommets. Guess good for sound isolation (not really) but limits heat transfer from hard drive to cage.
Pros: Light weight and open
Cons: Fan is LOUD. Had to buy a fan speed controller. Louder than all 6 other fans in my system. Limited mounting options. Only a few screw holes to mount unit into 5 1/2 inch cage. Had to drill and tap extras.
Summary: A drill, a small bit, and some self-tapping screws solve the mounting hole problem. I wonder if this is made to only be compatible with Lian Li cases? If so, it would be nice for that to be noted. Otherwise, it does what it is supposed to do, even if I did have to modify it.
Pros: Very slick looking. Big 120mm Fan Aluminum Construction
Cons: Very tight fitting in my Antec case, almost to the point of insanity. (Could be Antec's mounting system) Screw holes don't line up to make it flush mount (Could be Antec's mounting system)
