Good Chassis

David H., Newegg
18 July 2013
  • Summary: Also it would be better if the power supply was rated at 750 watts instead of 600watts.... just a thought But then again I am only using 5 drives 1 Blu-Ray player and a single 80watt CPU Works fine, have had no problems
  • Pros: The Intel SC5520HCT SSI EEB board fits perfectly All internal Chassis cables were perfect Not very loud for a server Chassis Plastic cooling duct fits perfectly over the Intel BXSTS100A Active heat sink Not a bad price for a Pedestal Server Chassis for an Intel board
  • Cons: There are a few accessories that you can purchase for this Chassis that did not come with it. For example I have had to purchase the redundant power supply from newegg and I may also purchase the hot swappable drive cage, all are added expenses.

User Review

  • Pros: Good quality for price.
  • Cons: It is not hot swap. You need AXX6DRV3GR and APPTHSDBKIT to make it hot swap. That makes it not so price effective. Also the front panel is specialized/proprietary type designed for use with Intel server boards only.

Awesome Server Chassis

Marshall W., Newegg
1 August 2011
  • Summary: The chassis information provided by NewEgg does not include part numbers or references to the secondary hot swappable power supply which required me to perform research at Intel to get the correct part number.
  • Pros: It's all good, the motherboard fits perfectly, all cables, screws, covers, locks and powersupply are simply perfect.
  • Cons: The chassis internally has 2 power fan ducts that only work with small heat sinks, which wasn't an issue as I simply unsnapped and removed the ducts. I was then able to use the preferable larger and much more efficient heat sinks -vs- the small heatsinks.
