Summary: We use these cases a lot. They fit the need. The box arrived undamaged, but there was a large dent on the top of the case, probably came from the factory like that. In-Win has a bad rep for shipping dented cases, there's just not enough packing. NOTE: Overstock resells these through ***. THEY WILL NOT CROSS SHIP ANYMORE! AWAITING "ANSWER" FROM SOMEONE, DON'T KNOW WHO, BUT I'M ON THE BIG WAIT NOW...
Summary: Despite its drawbacks and the slipping of quality over the years, its my preferred case. Not too big, everything fits even when its a gamer. Nice and black.
Pros: minimal tools, servicable (easy to clean), panels are removable so no scratches during assembly, good airflow. Can use larger fan with heat riser. Clearance for PCIx video due to HD setback.
Cons: used to be really quiet before inwin started using stamped steel grills instead of crome bent wire grills for the case fan and ps. use 18Ohm resistor in line with case fan helps. Difficult to route wires for a second HDD. PS is underpowered for hot video card.
Summary: In Win aims at the upper segment of the market, and their cases are priced accordingly. The quality, however, is just average. Not bad, but nothing outstanding either.I wouldnt buy it again at this price. For the premium I paid I expected peace of mind, instead of rummaging through old boxes in search of spare screws.
Pros: Works. The power supply seems okay and quiet. The removable HDD cage is nice. No standoffs necessary for MB.
Cons: - Got two cuts while assembling (What about the advertised rounded edges? Sure, SOME are rounded with some other you can literally shave). - Not enough screws!!! Just three for MB installation. Who packed this thing?! - Too bright blue power LED. - No CPU air duct.
Summary: I originally wanted the IN WIN EMO13.EJ350SLY case, since I used that case for my last two builds, and it is a little less expensive. However, it has been unavailable on this site for many months now. It does have an on/off switch on the power supply and a side panel air guide but it has only one SATA power connector, one 4-pin auxiliary connector and one +12 volt rail.
Pros: Quiet and reliable power supply. The two +12 volt rails are rated a total of 264 watts. 12 cm rear fan. Case is nice looking and constructed well, with no sharp edges. Detatcheable hard drive cage for easy installation. Has three sata power connectors, two 4-pin and one 6-pin auxiliary power connectors. No standoffs needed for motherboard installation.
Cons: No on/off switch on back of power supply. No side panel air guide, if you prefer to use these. Case is very light. If I a USB drive, I have to put one hand on top of the case or it will move backwards. It needs wide rubber feet instead of the plastic ones. Im not crazy about the wide power button either. My other two similar IN WIN cases have this same button and I have to push it in harder and hold for 1-2 seconds longer and often the case moves backwards. However, i...
Summary: I used to use In Win 10 years ago but got off track using other options in a seemingly endless arrayof choices. While searching for something new I came across my old trusty friend and decided to give it a shot again. Well it has all come back to me now and Im glad to have rediscovered a truly great product in a world of cheap shortcuts. These cases are simply some of the very best out there. Did I mention I love the look and build quality?
Pros: Solid build, great looks.reeks of quality.
Cons: You must install the rubber feet. sorry, thats the only thing I can possibly fault with this unit
