Great case, non-standard power supply

Brian V., Newegg
26 October 2015
  • Summary: I ended up putting an FM2+ system in this when the Core i5 plan didn't work out (A8-7600), and donated it to a nearby place that helps homeless people get jobs... so it will not be going unused. Aside from my annoyances though, it's actually a pretty good case for a lower-power machine.
  • Pros: It's really amazing you can fit a whole computer in something like this. Obviously you cant fit a power-house machine in here, but I had a plan to fit a 6th generation Core i5 in this to get some decent performance (see cons). The ODD and SSD slots are cleverly placed. Really an impressive piece ...
  • Cons: The power LED (like many cases out there) is waaaay too bright. The power supply is a non-standard size. Information I found lead me to believe that it was a Mini-ITX power supply. Turns out that is not accurate. You cannot use anything other than their PSU or external PSU. This really messed up ...

ITX Desktop Computer Case

Daniel M., Newegg
18 October 2015
  • Pros: A great ITX Desktop Computer Case, fit the build for this project.
  • Cons: it's a bit tight, but guess that comes with building a ITX Computer.

IN WIN Mini-ITX

Robert J., Newegg
29 June 2015
  • Pros: I was looking for a smaller case. This is perfect size. If I want a mini-itx build, why would I buy a big fat case? Might as well move back to ATX if you want multiple drive options and heavy power supplies. Anyway, this case is small without being too small to work with. Noise level is low. I li...
  • Cons: Having troubles with the case lights, but it is possible the cables came loose when I was putting the covers back on. No big problems.

Not a silent case.

Kenneth B., Newegg
3 March 2015
  • Summary: I installed a quad core Pentium board with no fans and was going for a silent build, but didn't realize this had an internal power supply with a cooling fan since the heading says there are options (which you don't get to choose from).
  • Pros: Great case over all. Not too cramped and good air flow.
  • Cons: This came with an internal power supply and has a fan which you can hear if you are near it.

IN WIN Excels again

STEVEN P., Newegg
9 January 2015
  • Summary: I want wish that In.Win would make some minor improvements to this case. 1.) USB 3.0 Please 2.) Either add or sell a SD Card reader that is compatible with this case. They have the tray and mount and cut out, but I have looked high and low and found nothing. 3.
  • Pros: Perfect for the user who wants to tuck their computer behind a monitor or keep it on a shelf out of sight. Excellent cable management, plenty of room in the case, and fits Mini-ITX LGA 1150 boards.
  • Cons: Has pre-drilled holes for Wifi antennas, but they're in the hard drive cavity making them useless as I have not seen one wifi antenna cable long enough to reach into the motherboard compartment. Power supply can be a little loud, but I believe it depends on what processor you're running. I have b...

Little disappointed

Blair N., Newegg
25 December 2014
  • Pros: Nice size, no wasted space. Cable management is a breeze. Looks great on the shelf with the rest of the computer gear.
  • Cons: Unfortunately, this case, no matter what, will not work with my AMD mother board. Works great with my ECS NM70-I2(1.0) Intel Celeron 1037U 1.80GHz Intel NM70 Mini ITX Motherboard/CPU/VGA Combo. But I put in my BIOSTAR A68N-5000 AMD A4-5000 Quad-Core APU Mini ITX Motherboard/CPU/VGA Combo, and not...

Best case for the money

STEVEN P., Newegg
24 December 2014
  • Summary: I wrote a previous review that outlined the optical port was not ambidextrous and I have to renege that statement. The tray for the optical drive is reversible so that when you mount it, the tray opens the right way. I have purchased 15 of these. Each one has been very easy to use and assemble.
  • Pros: Slim form factor, wall mountable, pedestal mountable, easy to take apart, clean edges, no complaints, comes with a PSU that CAN handle a 65W i7
  • Cons: My cons are all about the power supply. It does the trick, but there are things that a prospective buyer NEEDS to know. -PSU looks to be proprietary. This could be bad if it fails. No mention on IN WIN's website if they sell the replacements but for the price of the case, you may as well buy anot...

Excellent Vesa Case, a few complaints

Anonymous, Newegg
6 November 2014
  • Summary: I'm comparing this case to the Antec VESA, which I have used in a similar build. You basically trade a silent super efficient external brick for a hot 90+ bronze light noise fanned internal PSU with 50% more juice. You also trade one 2.5" drive slot for a notebook optical slot.
  • Pros: Internal power brick. Notebook cd drive slot. Good cable routing. Nice mesh back aesthetic. The mount is very intuitive, you just rotate lock the case to the latch.
  • Cons: Gets hot - the power supply by itself can reach 50-60c. Only one 2.5" hard drive bay.
