Great Mini-ITX Case

Terence M., Newegg
27 February 2015
  • Summary: No surprises - only the standard ITX compromises: case is 1.4" wider than my Morex mini-ITX case but it uses desktop components which is what I wanted - extra width is needed for these.
  • Pros: My favorite case from years ago was an In-Win. Chose this case because it supports full size optical & hard drives, standard TFX power supply, and is well designed - happy with my choice. Power supply is still working well - so a very successful build.
  • Cons: I replaced the cheap original fan with a "quiet" PWM model. Originally I was baffled what to do with the ".8" HDD drive bay which is too thin for any HDD that I have. Found a Vantec 3.5" to 2.5" HDD to SSD converter tray which fits perfectly - so now I have an SSD drive bay! (should come with thi...

small case and fan

VInce K., Newegg
17 June 2014
  • Summary: 24 pin mobo power connector on included supply was actually 20+4 for compatibility, plus the cpu 4+4 12V connector. I only used the 4 pin cpu connecter and left the add-on +4 dangling. I have not experienced any power supply fan noise that others had.
  • Pros: small, black, front usb+audio, power supply on side to avoid cpu heatsink space issues.
  • Cons: a few area around the dive cage have sharp edges. Have to remove the drive cage to screw hard drive into it. 80mm case fan was a little loud.

Great Case

Steven B., Newegg
8 July 2013
  • Summary: It doesn't get too hot I'm just used to my water cooled desktop that doesn't even get warm :-p Overall, a good case.
  • Pros: Looks cool, Fit my Mini-ITX with graphics card and blu-ray player with room to spare for wire management.
  • Cons: Wish it had more exhaust, or at least a better placed one. It's up by the hard drive and blu-ray player, when I need it by the graphics card and processor... Oh well.

Solid.

David S., Newegg
22 April 2013
  • Summary: My ideal case would be smaller than this, by giving up the 5.25" slot. I can use a USB optical drive for software install, and after that I don't need it. I would even be willing to give up a 3.5" slot; an SSD of 2.5" or smaller is the new normal.
  • Pros: I built two of these last week. 200W is plenty of power for my needs (Intel BOXDH77DF mobo with core i3-3220T CPU 35 W + SSD). Internal power with no external brick is a good thing. Plenty of room above the mobo for the stock heat sink. Installation of parts was simple and easy. (Some competing c...
  • Cons: No USB3 port on the front, I see there is a newer model for that. The cable route from the power supply to the mobo could be a bit larger, perhaps by cutting out some metal from the drive enclosure.

tight

Juan C., Newegg
18 March 2013
  • Summary: other than the tight space inside, which isn't even that bad, this is an exceptional case. i used it to make a low end pc just for fun, everything is as expected.
  • Pros: cheap and sleek, i like the gloss actually.
  • Cons: kinda tight, but it's managable

solid, excellent

jeff k., Newegg
10 January 2013
  • Pros: I've build up around 50 systems with this case. It's awesome, especially considering the price. I would pay $100 for this case. It takes a larger power supply than mini itx usually uses. I take this to mean longevity. Time will tell. I can have a complete pc built using this case in ~15 mins. Thi...
  • Cons: If I had to complain about something it would be gloss black face. It makes matte black dvd drives stand out a little. Maybe I should try and find some new dvd drives that are shiny?

Great HTPC case

Michael S., Newegg
17 August 2012
  • Summary: Doesn't fry me an egg sandwich or refill my root beer during late night browsing sessions. Hulu beats cable. I use this connected to a 52" LED TV @ 1360x768. Who needs a 19" monitor?
  • Pros: This small case for standard components is a great value! I have used it for more than 2 years and had no issues with the case performance. Stock PSU and case fan still working admirably well after two years of continuous duty. Seriously, I only reboot when required by updates and have only shut ...
  • Cons: I, too, am frustrated by the excessively bright power LED. I also wish that the HDD LED was blue rather than amber as I find the difference distracting and no real purpose for a difference. Red and green audio plugs - I know it's the standard, but so many other manufacturers (and even some In Win...

BP655.200BL InWin Case

Anonymous, Newegg
24 June 2012
  • Summary: Hopefully Newegg will see the value in ordering and offering the white version of this case as well. If so I'd buy it in a heartbeat as I'm already planning another HTPC build (1155 - 3rd Gen i5) similar to the one I just completed with left over socket 775 parts I had laying around.
  • Pros: Excellent craftmanship! Excellent cable management length wiring! Excellent PRODUCT!!!
  • Cons: Only con is that the InWin webpage shows this case available in both Black and White. When I couldn't find it in white ANYWHERE, I broke down and called InWin. They informed me that they ONLY sold the white version in bulk orders. I politely informed them that they should probably say this somewh...
