Great looking case
Joshua F., Newegg
22 August 2012
Summary: In my long history of PC cases, I can definitively say this is the best one I've had so far. It's more compact than most mid towers, but plenty roomy inside. There's no HDD status LED, so I just hooked up the power LED to be the HDD status LED.
Pros: - Not as tall as most mid towers - Very quiet - Beautiful inside and out - Well built
Cons: - Rubber grommets for liquid cooling don't stay in place. Sort of annoying, not detrimental. - No HDD status LED
Pros: - Easy to build a computer in this case, even for a first-timer like me. - Nice fan controller - Fans are silent at a low setting (the lowest is fine for me) - Versatile - Good quality construction
Cons: - I wish the drive tray came in 2 parts so I could remove one. Seems to obstruct the airflow (no egg deducted because I don't actually have a problem with controlling the temperature, using just a Hyper 212 Plus and the two case fans with a fanless power supply and fanless graphics card). - I wis...
Summary: Like some others - I went from having ugly, neon lit cases that looked like star trek convention rejects to a grown up case, simple in it's appearance, and quiet. I've seen NO drawbacks, and love the silence. my mechanical keyboard seems too noisy now, in fact.
Pros: I'll state right off the bat, i never tried the stock fans. I've had silenx 120mm fans that i spent good money on for my last build, and loved them, so I installed 2 in front, and 2 in the back, replacing the stock ones. From what i'm reading though - the stock ones were plenty quiet anyways, so ...
Cons: grommets were hard to deal with - popped out easily. Also - it's on the larger side of the mid-tower spectrum, so keep that in mind if you need to fit it to a desk's cpu holder, or etc. Also - 1 usb 3.0 port, but took up the whole 19 pin header with it? Give me 2, guys.. its backwards compatible :)
Summary: I used this case to build my photo/video editing workstation, and I needed something that looked professional, meaning no flashing lights, or windows or that non-sense. It really is a good looking case. Also not sure on other reviewer about the standoffs not being correct.
Pros: 8 HD trays that are easily accessible without tools - This sold it for me Professional looking case Perfectly placed cable routing holes for my Gigabyte Z77 board Very quiet case, almost completely silent
Cons: The space behind the motherboard tray was a bit tight, but I was still able to route all my cables back there.
Summary: I went from a big ol' neon lit, loud fan, see-thru, sharp-edged, too big for it's own good case to this guy. I've got 7 HDD's and a DVD-DL burner in it very comfortably and the internal temps are lower than the previous.
Pros: Cable management is great. Really well finished. Large enough opening to swap CPU coolers easily. Looks great, I'd even go with "classy". Very, very quiet.
Cons: Only con would be the PSU filter, more than once I picked up the case only to realize I almost poked right through it. Eventually I just removed it and put it back in once the case was buttoned up and in place.
Pros: Absolutely beautiful case; very slick design. Extremely easy to work in and allows for very good cable management. Sound dampening is terrific. Even under heavy load, my computer is almost completely silent. My case was missing one of the circular rubber grommets. So, I emailed Fractal and they m...
Pros: Awesome case. Really really nice. Looks great and feels well made/sturdy to me. And it really does a great job keeping the noise down. I had to open to the doors just to make sure the fans were on at first. Stock fans that come with it are fine too. I'm running i5 2500K, 560ti, 2hds, dvd-r, & 16g...
Cons: Little tight behind the mobo area, so getting the cables in there and shutting the door is a little tricky, but if you just take your time, you'll be fine.
Pros: High quality case. The sound suppressing foam definitely helps keep the noise level down. There are also plenty of places to add more fans. I'm usually not a fan of doors on the front of my pc cases, but it works well on this case. Nothing seems flimsy or cheap. There are also a ton of hdd slots,...
Summary: Get this case if you have $100 to get a nice computer case. This case can be used anywhere ie. the office, your living room ,or at a LAN party. Don't waste your money on a HAF 922 when you can get this for the same price but with more filters and usb 3.0.
Pros: It is simple and smooth. The front panel is plastic but looks like metal and is fingerprint resistant. It doesn't look like a transformer. It has filter over all the intakes. It has moduvent covers over all the unused vents. It could be silent or have high airflow. It has a nice painted interior....
Cons: These are minors and should deter anyone away from buying but should be looked at when building. The rubber gromet in the case do fall of easily so you have to put them back on which is super easy. The space at the top of the motherboard and the case is very tight but a fan can be put in there.
