Summary: The window is smoked. I initially saw this as a bad thing but it actually worked out pretty well. It does a good job of toning down the LEDs in the fans. I strongly recommend this case over the 'base' Ostrog case. The included fans and improved cable management are totally worth it.. This is like the basic case with all the tweaks I'd want applied.
Pros: Lots of 'back of the motherboard' space for cable management. I installed a non-modular power supply and had no problem hiding the extra cables neatly on the back side of the motherboard. The case has real vented PCI slot blanks (vs punch outs on lower end cases). If the light up fans aren't your thing, there is a switch on top to turn them off, or you can unplug 'just the lights' if you want. The included 2.5" drive bracket worked just fine for me and there is room f...
Cons: The 2.5" drive bracket is nothing fancy, pretty much an up-side-down U shaped bracket that screws on from under the case. It just seemed kind of cheesy where pretty much everything else on the case was done nice. The sides of the case feel cheap / thin / light weight vs my Antec cases but it in no way detracts from the case once assembled. The specs say a 23cm / 230mm fan will fit on top, there is NO WAY. The 20cm / 200mm fan just so barely fits the width of the case....
Pros: This case is for my first computer build.i was going for a red/black theme and this case caught my eye. I received it 2 days after I ordered so very fast shipping from newegg.. I wasn't going to open until I purchased the remaining components, but the box arrived somewhat beat up and crushed in spots so I removed and inspected for damage. There was none. While inspecting I checked the side cover screws as previous reviews said they were a weak point, I found the case ...
Summary: -To get the H100/H100i to work, I had to mount only the bare unit inside the case using the two 12cm at the top with no fans -The 8-pin CPU cable was in the way of fan 1 and the RAM modules were in the way of fan 2 ( AM3+ board) -So the fans went outside the case with grills (another purchase). Luckily the fan cables were long enough to be threaded through the provided holes in the back. -So the case can handle the h100s but some elbow grease is required!
Pros: -Spacious -Elegant looking -3 quiet fans with 3-pins -Adequate space behind motherboard for cable management -Removable drive cages to improve air flow -Can fit Corsair h100/h100i sort of. See other thoughts
Cons: -Not enough space at the top of the case for 8/4 CPU cable. I had to buy an extension cable. An extra inch of space could have provided a cutoff -The included SSD cage has the wrong orientation when moved on top of the lower HDD cage to make way for a long power supply unit or for a fan to be installed
Summary: The comptuer case is not equipped to hold cathode lights and needs to.
Pros: This case is fairly large and there is enough room to tie things in with. The case is very wide and there is enough room for the components that need to be inside. I have the usage of the storage slots at its max. My computer is just getting really warm, however I have not used the water cooling that I could use. The case is sufficient for a low budget and I would recommend it to someone who wants a nice computer case that a child who likes red would like.
Cons: This case has very sticky buttons and they dont release easy. The case came scratched, and the paint came chipped. I had doctored it up since I had the matching paint that the OEM had used. The fans do not circulate the air thuroughly enough, I have 8 fans installed inside the case and its like the comptuer is still hot.
Summary: I ended up not returning it. I glued the outside piece back on and now its hardly noticeable. Hard to say where the damage occurred so I cant really blame Newegg. All in all im upset but still pleased.
Pros: This case has a lot going for it - Enough room on the inside to do just about whatever. With cable management that is hard to complain about. - Has room for six fans or fans/and a pretty big water cooling setup. - You can mount the ssd cage to the bottom drive cage and looks pretty neat. ( this also opens up a 120mm fan spot ) - Nice big side window, does have a light tint to it.
Cons: Now we get to why I gave this four eggs even tho I really like it. - The box came *CRUSHED* on one corner and sure enough broke a piece off the corner of the case. - Pulled off the front panel and sure enough another broken piece.(One of the inserts that hold the cover on) - The fan filters are there just for the sake of having them.
Summary: do not like the black acrylic window, the side panel latching is still the same tech as 7 years ago when i bought a computer. wish they added some sort of dorr handle and hinges but no, dont worry i dont take my door off...not really i do actually and its a pain.
Pros: well hard to say it all but what i really like is the cable management the fans included,UI on the front, removable hhd cage(though i wish i could take both out, gunna have to cut it out). the power supply has a nice seating bracket, i love the vents on top but not so much the bottom, it has nice slot covers, and it has a lot of fan compatibility
Cons: "dust filter" is hardly a dust filter, just a waste of mats. the open drive ports are see through and its ugly.
Pros: case is nice has a lot of room, lot of places to put fans. the extra room in the back for cable management is very nice, really glad i got this case with PSU that wasn't modular.
Cons: a couple of things: the wires for the front fans, were too short, almost didn't get them to hook up on my Fatal1ty 990fx Killer (AMD) motherboard, should have extra fan headers. The installation papers didn't show what the 2 wires coming down were for but found out they were for the LED lights for the fans
Summary: I like the case the h100i should of fit but I blame the design of the MOBO more then the case, Case should of had rubber grommet inside for cable management
Pros: Looks great lots of room for cable management pre installed MOBO stands
Cons: Not enough clearance from top of the case. Installed corsair h100i with a MSI Z87-G43 and It does not fit. The fans hit the red heatsink ontop of the board. I took it off and flipped it and it helped but the CPU power connecter is at the very top of the motherboard and that was blocking aswell.
Summary: Not really a con, but it would be nice if the side view window didn't have the black tint to it, or had LED's or something to make it brighter in side. Overall a great case. Really loved the cable management.
Pros: -side view window -lots of space and cable ties for cable management -looks looks nice
Cons: -SSD bay can block PSU, was able to get it in but it was a tight fit -had to remove one HDD bay to make room for GPU
