Summary: Final Thoughts
When I first heard of the Vengeance C70 I thought to myself, “Oh no not another overdone military themed case”. I’ve seen so many military themed cases over the years and they are either overdone or just not done right. It seems like Corsair has hit the nail on the head with the Vengeance C70. It is the perfect blend of a military ammo box and a mid tower case. You can distinctly tell that it is made to be both things.
Pros: – Extremely easy installation, – Unique military features, – More than enough room to route cables, – Supports larger video cards, – Adequate cooling, with room for expansion
Summary: When looking at the Corsair Vengeance C70 - especially the military green variant - some may think at first that a modder has had his fun with a standard chassis and added military elements to it. Thus, the first surprise would be that Corsair has taken this level of detail and offers it as a mass market product. Then, the second thought that pops into one's mind is "price tag".
Pros: Excellent engineering quality, Great level of details, Excellent paint job, Built-in handles, Awesome clips holding side panels in place, Extremely well engineered inside and outside, Cool Power and Reset buttons, Excellent cable routing system, Plenty of space to route cables, Parted HDD cages, so that you may remove one for long graphics cards, Possibility to install up to two 240 mm radiators within the chassis, Plenty of room for long GPUs without any sacrifice in...
Cons: No water cooling grommets for the rear included, Handles only good for carrying a case for short distances
Conclusion: Important: In this section I am going to write a brief five point summary on the following categories; Performance, Appearance, Construction, Functionality and Value. These views are my own and help me to give the Vengeance C70 PC case a rating out of 10. A high or low score does not necessarily mean that it is better or worse than a similar PC case that has been reviewed by another writer here at Benchmark Reviews, which may have got a higher or lower score.
Pros: Great looking case, Original theme, Case handles built in, Side panel clamps look and work great, Massive side panel window, Tool free optical and hard drive bays, Supports up to six 2.5" HDD/SSD, Removable HDD racks, 8 expansion slots, Room for two 240mm long water cooling radiators, Fit up to 11 120mm fans or 7 140mm fans, Overclocked hardware stays nice and cool, Removable intake air filters, Military style power and reset buttons, Lots of ventilation, Excellent ca...
Cons: Unfiltered side window fan vents, Heavy when full system is built inside, Big case, takes up a lot of room, Intake can become restricted if both HDD racks are full with 3.5" drives
Summary: Overall the Corsair Vengeance C70 (Arctic White) has put in a good showing here at pcGameware and I’ve really warmed to it over the last week or so. The case came well packaged and the case’s Military (Ammo box) theme makes for a particulary striking design. The case is well designed and constructed with only the loose dust filters letting it down, oh and really I would have liked to have seen some additional stand-offs supplied too (I only wanted one!).
