This thing is a beast. Way better than Corsair's SPEC-02

Anonymous, Newegg
  • Summary: The Corsair Obsidian Series 900D is the perfect case for me. The price is right, it is roomy, flexible, and durable. However this thing is heavy, and it will only get heavier than now when I build my system inside of it.
  • Pros: It is big. The obvious doesn't need to be explained. What I also love is the fact that it is so easy to build in compared to Corsair's SPEC-02 which makes this case more worth it when you look at it that way. This case is also extremely flexible and configurable that you can build anything in the...
  • Cons: No case is ever perfect, so there are some drawbacks when it comes to big cases like this. One is that it is heavy. This beast weights in at 41 lbs. with nothing in it with the default configuration. Also this thing commands a high price, so Corsair wasn't joking with this at all since this is fo...

The Biggest Blackest Case

Anonymous, Newegg
10 January 2016
  • Summary: I highly recommend this case, just make sure you measure and know where it's going before you have to reorganize your room like me.
  • Pros: Okay, now I got this case so I can build my dream rig over the next few weeks. that being said, it hasn't actually had power going through it yet. HOWEVER it's a case and doesn't need to do much more than be a box. This case is sturdy as hell, I could hide in it and survive an air raid. Another p...
  • Cons: The cons if this case are the weight, as this thing weighs more than the moon. It's lack of handles for moving, though I think the point is that this doesn't so it isn't the best choice if you go to a lot of Lan parties. AND THE BIGGEST CON! This is the biggest pro, but also the biggest con and t...

So far im very happy with this product

Eric W., Newegg
7 January 2016
  • Summary: This case is really meant for extreme builds so placing a ATX motherboard within this case might be over kill. But if you plan to have everything water cooled and have enough room to place everything in there then this case is a maybe for you.
  • Pros: - Its housing my SR-2 mortarboard, and thats all I care about. - Comes with all the screws and everything for mounting all your equipment. - Comes with instructions that are easy to understand. - It was very well packaged. - Everything just works as intended without any issues. - Read some compla...
  • Cons: - They want me to write a con, and the only real con is the size of this case, but if you are in the market to buy a case of this size the you know this is not a con. - Maybe the price but again you get a lot for what you are buying.

Huge case with variety of options

Anonymous, Newegg
16 December 2015
  • Summary: I gave 5 stars as I'm happy that i really fulfill my needs. I got it in sale around 180$ (include rebate/amex offer)
  • Pros: This case is huge as everyone saying. Variety of mounting options for radiators and fans. I got a corsair h110i gtx cooler fit on the top with no problem. I'm coming from HAF 932 case and very happy that i got this one.
  • Cons: I own variety of corsair productions from memory, coolers. The QC is not 100% on this product. The HDD trays were flimsy and to screw PCI cards little tricky. The 2 side doors on the bottom which close with magnet, not sure how long that will hold

THE BEHEMOTH OF CASES

Justin M., Newegg
14 December 2015
  • Summary: With all of this said, this is a well balanced and massive case. You'll have plenty of room to grow and improve your rig. However, I have heard people complain about there not being a instruction book. This is an enthusiasts class case!!! You shouldn't need a book for a PC case!!!
  • Pros: Where should I start... This case is a MONSTER! This is one of the biggest cases you can find... Ok, with that out the way lets start. 1 - Size - This case is HUGE and HEAVY with plenty of room for a growing system 2 - Cable management - It has plenty of room and rubber holes for easy cable manag...
  • Cons: Although there are not that many, There are a few little ones worth noting. 1 - PCIE slot screws - Whatever genius thought of this one should be slapped. They give you a L shaped screw driver to get at them because once you put a card in you have to start from the top and work you way down. They ...

not recommended

David P., Newegg
5 December 2015
  • Summary: I bought this instead of a second Cooler Master HAF X case. I spent $100 more for a case with less capability/compatibility.
  • Pros: none
  • Cons: not compatible with other manufacturer's 4 into 3 drive bays, numerous nicks in paint from assembly process, bottom side panels are held in place by magnets and fail to stay closed once sata power cables or sata data cables are run to sata drives mounted in drive bays, lack of support for fans la...

Welcome to the big leagues

Andrew P., Newegg
3 December 2015
  • Summary: All in all I am impressed with the case. I think it's too expensive but the product itself is very good.
  • Pros: I've been told the politically correct way of saying this is: "Large in size and dark in colour". With that out of the way, let's get to it. This case is very impressive. I'm coming from the HAF 932 (which was bigger than my Dell piece before that (which was bigger than my HP piece before that))....
  • Cons: The big black elephant in the room is the price (well so is the case itself, but never mind that). For $480 I am expecting something truly fantastic given that there are no electronics and no moving parts. I didn't quite get the $480 WOW factor so minus one egg. Most of my complaints relate back ...

Great case, Very Poor Quality Control

juan g., Newegg
28 November 2015
  • Summary: I hated to take off points becuase of damage that can be easily fixed by an RMA, but this seems to be a reoccuring problem with 900d owners, and Im uncertain if these things are breaking at the assembly line, or during packaging/shipping.
  • Pros: Exceedingly attractive and sleek design, borderline furniture in size, aluminum front adds apeal for the enthusiast. -Roomy AF -Easy to work on, toolless design, means access to panels on the fly. -One of the few cases to be able to house a 480mm rad. -Modular bays allow for customizing your cool...
  • Cons: Extremely poor quality control, i cannot understand, how the case even passed basic visual inspection, the inside of the frame in between the side panel and the lower fan door was flat out bent and damaged, with obvious paint removed from a blunt impact, i know this didnt happen during shipping b...

Not worth the money

Adam M., Newegg
20 November 2015
  • Summary: When I threw down over $350 I thought I had found a case that would last many PC builds. Yes it is huge but that was what I wanted. The problem is the thing feels and looks like it should have a $190-200 price tag, maybe.
  • Pros: Big and roomy, knew the case was huge after reading other reviews. Free Shipping was awesome
  • Cons: 1) Price vs quality a joke, not worth the price even with free shipping 2) very little information comes with the case 3) minor mechanical damages found right out of the box. There were cosmetic damages too but those did not bother me. 4) Looks very cheap even after the 300+ price tag
