No UPC for Rebate

Anonymous, Newegg
4 August 2014
  • Pros: The case is as purported by Corsair and Newegg and was received in a timely fashion.
  • Cons: Corsair did not print the UPC on the case box. The black border Corsair prints on its case boxes for the UPC was there but the UPC itself was not printed. No insert with the UPC printed on it was included with the case. Thus, it was not possible to claim an advertised rebate. On a separate point,...

Please try harder, Corsair

Anonymous, Newegg
29 June 2014
  • Summary: I have built PC since 1977 as my job and also for friends. This is the worst case I ever run into. When buying a product, we fully expect that it would not be 100% works as we want. But at this price, I expect the product should be better designed and more responsible.
  • Pros: Pretty front panel Good cable routing support
  • Cons: Let see how many feature that this case offers and actually work up to its high price. Power switch: really need some serious force to press it. Front USB3 port: using the cable to route the USB3 ports from the rear panel is helpful for motherboard that does not have the on board connector. But a...

  • Summary: I bought this case for my first computer build thinking that spending $180 would get me a case that would last long both in style and components. This case offered a great building experience. The rubber cable routing grommets look great.
  • Pros: -Nice looking in a minimal, industrial type of way. -Easy open panels -Space for H100i with ATX size board (only 2 fans) -Sturdy overall -Adjustable disk tray racks -removable front intake and PSU filters -Any comparable PSU sits nicely -Front bezel is a subtly elegant dark brushed metal
  • Cons: -Cheap 3 stage (no off) fan controller (uses molex) -front panel USB 3 do not have MOBO headers (intended to be plugged into the rear ports). -Despite being advertised as having superior cable management, there is very limited space in the back for cable management. I have all of my cables extrem...

Nice first impression

Anonymous, Newegg
7 March 2013
  • Summary: Despite the clean, minimalist, sexy (IMO) design and the stellar cable management, its just your average case with some problems. Biggest issue with the case is the faulty fan controller.
  • Pros: cable management by far the best, great design, adequate cooling, adequate noise levels, port selection, build quality
  • Cons: faulty fan controller

Meh

martin b., Newegg

  • Summary: Consider a Xigmatek Midgard II instead. Free shipping at the other big name for online shopping. It has most of the same features, minus the window panel. Or else get a Corsair 300R.
  • Pros: Does what its supposed to do. Panels detach easily.
  • Cons: Far to overpriced. Really inferior 200mm fans. Fans are noisy, so just go ahead and make arrangements for other, quieter fans. I should have gone with a Corsair 500D or a Xigmatek Midgard II...

The beauty is only skin-deep

  • Summary: This case looks quite elegant, with its brushed aluminum faceplate and quick-release latches on the side panels. Wherever possible, Corsair has made it easy to access the interior and replace the components. But seriously, how often are you going to be doing this?

Good case, but...

Amir Servatdjoo, Amazon

  • Summary: It's a nice case. I think It could have been more compact with same performance. But, the major reason why I'm giving it two stars is because the fan controller died after 2 weeks, and I don't find it to be a big reason enough to send it for repair. It's just very annoying.

Disappointed

Grey Goose, Amazon
3 November 2014
  • Summary: I was disappointed with this case. I have built two systems recently and for the first one i went with a Fractal Design R4 which was completely silent and solid as a rock. Being more expensive I expected the Corsair Obsidian 650D CC650DW-1 to be better still but unfortunately that's not the case.

Great looking but has a serious issue

elektric, Amazon
15 March 2014
  • Summary: A nice looking case with plenty of room but imagine my dismay when I powered up my new build only to find the front fan made such a racket I could hear it two rooms away. Looking online I can see I am not alone , and rather than being a fan issue , the noise is actually caused by the non removable...
