Solid build with plenty of builder-friendly features

  • Summary: + excellent build quality + sound dampening material works very well (even with stock CPU fans, etc.) + grommets for cable routing a nice touch + plenty of room for larger components (AMD 280X, etc.) ? took me a little while to figure out how 2.5" SSDs fit into the tool-less drive trays - front door panel doesn't feel quite right.

Corsair continues to make small improvements to their cases, and this one is particularly awesome

  • Summary: Having built several systems over the years, using both Antec and Corsair cases, I have to say this is my favorite case. It is nice a sturdy. The inside is very well designed and laid out. Cable management is the best i've come across. I love the flat black look of the case. It is classy without looking too flashy, but as the same time you can tell it is high quality. The metal front door really helps to keep the noise down.

Very quiet. Great case.

  • Summary: I have been super impressed with this case. It is extremely easy to work with and my rig is very quiet. I upgraded from an all aluminum Lian Li. Key features of the Corsair for me are: 1) Very quit 2) No tools required to take panels off 3) Front door is removable and swings both ways 4) Filters are held on with magnets and can be easily removed for cleaning 5) Very easy to work in Only con is the case is heavy. You won't want to be moving it a lot.

An almost-perfect case for a high-end system.

  • Summary: I'm very impressed with this case. I mounted an Asus X99-Deluxe, Intel 5960X, 16 GB of 2800MHz RAM, Sapphire Radeon Vapor-X R9 290X, Kraken X61 liquid cooler. I have the two 120mm front fans as intake, the 120mm rear fan as exhaust, and the two 140mm Kraken fans as intake - blowing into the case. Power supply has intake on the bottom and exhaust out the back. I originally intended to mount one or two 140mm fans as exhaust in the side port.

This case is very close to perfect

  • Summary: I guess the top and the side are a little bit unsightly when the vent covers are removed. I guess the mesh on the front, side, bottom, and top of the case could be a bit finer since it doesn't seem to collect as much dust as my roommate's Fractal Design R4's grilles. I guess the fans in it could physically be quieter (since the R4's fans are), but nonetheless this is by a wide margin quieter than every other case I've heard. But these are nitpicks.

Corsair Oozes with Class, Style and Craftsmanship in this Case.

  • Summary: Solid case. Extremely well thought out and craftsmanship is just great. Plenty of room inside to work although I will say the wiring for the hard drives going to motherboard can be cramped on the backside (right side of the case). I used straight Sata connectors. An available 90 degree cable is best for all drives, including optical, except the bottom one or two hard drives but the 90 degree angle connection to the motherboard will likely be a stopper.

It's nice. Nothing screams at me anymore

  • Summary: Oh so quiet. It's nice. Nothing screams at me anymore. Lots of good places for fans. Looks nice. The only oddities are that because the front swinging bezel covers the optical drive when closed, you have to remember to open the door before you or your computer ejects a CD. Not like it's going to fight the door, but it's not going to eject and you might get an error that it can't open the tray.

  • Summary: I am new to computer building but i really like this tower. Fully insulated and lots of access panels and push button easy remove doors on both left and right. lots of room for multiple hard drives and dvd/blue ray drives , and cooling fans including an area at the top for a water cooled fan. So far the it stays very cool for me and don't think i well need liquid cooling .

Very impressive case!

  • Summary: Of course it has a really cool name, but I was pleasantly surprised with this Obsidian's excellent build quality and attention to detail. Cable routing options are thoughtful, the tool-less drive bays are a nice feature and the case looks very handsome. The sturdy aluminum front panel door opens from either side, giving easy access to the four 5.25" drive bays.

Superior Case

Quinn, Amazon
25 May 2014
  • Summary: I bought this case because I was not satisfied with my Zalman Z9. It was just too small for me, so I decided to give this case a try. This was one of the best decisions I have made! I am using a CX600 for as my power supply and there are cables everywhere, but this case kept it under control and allows excellent airflow. This case also has so many innovations that Corsair adds to make building your computer so much easier.
