Summary: PROS: - Great cable management. Although, it was a bit of a hassle with some cabling, including the angle between the cable holes and the motherboard when my motherboard unfortunately had 90 degree ports... yeah.
Summary: This is only the second system I have ever built for myself, so I don't have a lot of experience. Take my criticisms with a grain of salt. This is an excellent case that worked wonderfully for me.
Pros: Very solid construction Quiet, LED-lit fans included Subtle, tasteful good looks Large for a mid tower (fits large graphics cards & CPU coolers) Easy, no-problem installation of MB and disc and optical drives Excellent cooling, yet quiet No adapter needed to install SSD
Cons: The biggest problem I have with the case is the design of the right side panel and the cable management. The cables route nicely through grommet-protected ports in the inner "bulkhead," so that's no problem by itself. But the panel on that side of the case (actually both sides, but the right side...
It would be nice if I didn't have to turn on a flashlight ...

Summary: CONS: The built-in fan controller is weak, but it's only meant for two fans that come with the case so I let it slide. I have my own 5-channel fan controller that I'm using. I see no HDD leds on mine, not sure why yet. 2 front USB ports that aren't recessed or angled back.
Summary: I would probably suggest buying some additional fans for this one. Though, I'm only running the stock fans right now (-1) and its running super cool. And really, get the filters. I have three cats so full filter protection is important to me.
Pros: Big, spacious, amazing for the price. The framework is easy to access and I really love the removable drive trays. It's also really quiet. I was concerned because of its open-ness, but I wouldn't even know it was on most of the time except that the monitor is glowing. Oh, and the LED lights are s...
Cons: Mine came with an oversized fan on the left side panel, and I'll have to say I'm not pleased with it. I've plugged it in a few different ports and fiddled with it a couple of times, but it's still not operating, and the manual that came with the case had no info. Also, a few other people mentione...
Summary: Doen'st work with the Corsair H105 as advertised. Works great with the Noctua cooling system once you place an extra fan in the top for drawing hot air up through the top and at least one extra Noctua on the inside hard drive cage to draw cool air in over the southbridge of the motherboard.
Pros: Great case, as long as you don't plan on cooling it with the Corsair H105. I switched to the Noctua cooler and now am very happy with the case, and have it FULLY LOADED to the max with hard drives and an overclocked i7-3770K, 4400 MHz (44 x 100) running at a cool 20'C ambient idle temp. You can m...
Cons: Don't buy this case if you plan on using it with the CORSAIR Hydro Series H105. It WON'T fit properly, and force you to mount the radiator in such a way that it doesn't make direct contact with the H105 cooling fans. Also, the H105 fans had to be mounted with the case mount between the fans and t...
Great case, but has a couple shortfalls but not a deal breaker.

Summary: Corsair has put together a very solid case with the Carbide 500R. Overall aesthetic design of this case is extremely clean and spacious inside for its size. Panels are tight fitting and no gaps when installed. The paint job inside and out is very high quality and should should up well.
Man, that right side panel is tight... No room for error in cable management.

Summary: This case is nearly perfect and it made my build go very smoothly. My only complaint is that the right-side panel is extremely tight unless you have perfect cable management. The outputs for the cables are towards the front of the case, but the extra bulge on the panel is in the back.
Summary: If you get this case, do yourself a favor and buy a dust filter for the top. Corsair Support was fantastic in replacing the I/O panel. I highly recommend this case (and company) to anybody.
Pros: - Fan controller (While not the best, it does its job) - Sturdy - Dust filter on front - Good cable management - Pre-installed stand-offs - Easy tool-less hard drive and 5.25" mounts - Can support 2x 240mm Radiators and a 120mm radiator
Cons: - DOA I/O panel (Replaced swiftly by Corsair support free of charge) - No top dust filter (I expect more from Corsair) - Front dust filter doesn't do its job very well
