Summary: The Corsair Carbide Series Black 300R Windowed case is well worth the average price it's listed at...the list!! Pro's: 1. The case fans, while being only 3 pin, are quiet and do a good job of regulating heat (specifically the front 140mm intake fan). 2. Dust filter on the bottom for the psu. 3 dust filters in the front of the case. A big one for the front-center and 2 slim front-side filters. The psu and front-side filters can be slid out for easy cleaning.
Summary: I am loving this case! The cable management system is awesome. I was able to build my new rig and run almost all of the power cables through the side of the case where they are out of the way of airflow. It also makes the inside of the case look really nice and organized. It has plenty of room for extra fans and the two it comes with are decent. Of course, the front USB 3.0 ports are a must as well as having the front intake air filter. I like the look of the case.
Summary: This is a great case that has a few minor problems which could be overlooked by many builders. Corsair sells a grommet kit for the 350D that will also fit this case perfectly, go spend a few extra bucks and make your cable management look nice. It's not as nice or well-equipped as the Vengeance C70, but it is significantly smaller without being overly cramped when you're installing parts or doing upgrades, which can be very nice in its own right.
Pros: Excellent case for the value. All black interior, good quality feet, stylish design, great airflow and cooling arrangements for the most part. Can mount six 140mm fans (+ one 120mm exhaust) that'll move a ton of air without a ton of noise. Ample room inside the case to work on installing parts, even with large graphics cards and CPU coolers. Plenty of space to run cables behind the motherboard for a tidy appearance. Tool-less drive assembly feels very solid - can't sa...
Cons: The front intake fans' main filter is permanently attached to the front plastic bezel. To clean it, you need to remove the bezel, then painstakingly pop the metal mesh screen out by bending these little tabs 90 degrees until they slide out of their brackets. What moron designed it this way? The little side filters on either side of the front bezel just slide right out. DEMCIflex makes magnetic filters that stick onto the outside of the case and they have a set specifi...
Summary: Looks amazing. I watched video reviews of this case before I bought it, but when I opened it I was still surprised at how nice it looks. There aren't even very many high end cases that look as nice as this one IMO. The build quality is excellent, the finish feels nice to touch as well as to look at. It is not a fingerprint magnet, and any fingerprints it gets can be cleaned off.
Summary: Overall this is an excellent case. I would like to have rubber grommets, but if that is really important I could have just bought a more expensive case. I am not a gamer and don't use a lot of mega-watt components, so this case exceeds my expectations. I am very happy with the service I got from Corsair.
Pros: This case has been great for my build. I bought a major brand PC on sale then moved most components to the new case. The case has great ventilation and is very quiet, I have 4 - 140mm fans top and front and run them at 40%. It has plenty of room for hard drives and SSD's. The blue LED fans show through the mesh and looks great.
Cons: As one reviewer stated, if you mount a 140mm fan in the top front location, you can't mount a standard optical drive in the top slot. I just put the optical drive in the second slot and installed the much shorter fan controller in the top slot. The other issue I had was that the USB3 slot in front would not work. Sent a ticket to Corsair and they quickly sent a new front panel. The USB3 still would not work. I called Corsair and upon my request they agreed to send a U...
Summary: I really got to say that this case blew me away. I've built hundreds of computers, hell on my personal computer I've got $200 full tower, but this carbide really surprised me how nice it was. It is straightforward to install, strong yet pretty light, it looks clean, has a ton of great cooling features... I try but I just can't figure out where to figure out where to knock a point off this thing.
Summary: An average case for an average price. Cable management is a bit finicky with stiff cables, but overall it's easy to keep everything neat and cool with this chassis. Summary: If you need a budget case, I reccomend this one by far. Its got a beautiful and simple face to it, plenty of room inside for cable management and lots of expansion. I mounted a pretty long power supply with absolutely no problems, I managed to run the cables behind the motherboard tray with no problems, even though I felt I was making a rather bad job of it.
