4 October 2011
Excerpt: Cooler Master HAF 922 / 932 Case Review CoolerMaster If you've been reading Rage3D Articles and Reviews for a while, you've likely noticed we've used Cooler Master's High Air Flow (HAF) series cases quite extensively. The HAF series has been around for a year or more now, with a several derivations and an update recently released.
Summary: Like it's big brother the HAF 932, the Cooler Master HAF 922 Case has the same military theme, great styling, excellent build quality, lots of fans, plenty of drive bays and much more. If you are in the market for a Mid-Tower case be sure to consider this one! Watch the video to find out more...
Excerpt: Cooler Master wowed us last year with its full-tower HAF 932, which garnered Maximum PC ’s coveted Kick Ass Award (November 2008). Now we’ve gotten our hands on the midtower version of the HAF, the 922, and it looks awfully familiar. Superficially, the HAF 922 is like a cross between the full-tower HAF 932 and last month’s CM Storm Sniper.
Pros: Roomy; great airflow; prettier than its predecessor; good value.
Cons: We could use more LEDs; interior is unpainted; a side fan would be nice.
Cooler Master HAF 922 PC chassis. More than just a little brother?

Excerpt: The Cooler Master HAF 922 is the second chassis in the High Airflow Flow range and it aims to offer the performance associated with the larger HAF 932 in a smaller mid-tower frame. Armed with a cooling system consisting of two 200mm fans and one 120mm fan, it promises maximum airflow for high-end kit and carries an asking price of around £90. Does it bring anything new to the table and is it worthy of consideration? Let's see what the HAF 922 has to offer.
Excerpt: Continuing the line of HAF (High Air Flow) cases Cooler Master introduces the HAF 922. The HAF 922 is a mid-size case with features and design very similar to it’s bigger brother the 932. Here at Modders-Inc. we were very impressed with the cooling capability, overall spaciousness and flexibility of the HAF932. Read along as we explore the Pro’s and Con’s of the mid size 922 design.
Pros: Great Cooling, Spacious Interior, Good Cable Routing, Tooless, Water Cooling Ready
Excerpt: Cooler Master has had great success with their HAF 932 case, mostly due to it’s high air flow design and larger than life size. The engineers took the HAF932 and scaled it down a little and came up with the HAF 922 in order to put a case with design aspects of the hugely successful HAF932 case into lower price range. This new case by Cooler Master is a chassis which is a must have for those want the HAF932, but can’t afford the price.
Summary: The Cooler Master HAF 922 is not only smaller and thus more portable than the bigger 932, but it also improves things on many fronts. The case has the same, great and detailed exterior design and even manages to change some of the slightly boring aspects to the better. The interior of the case also leaves a more refined impression.
Pros: Great looks with a few very nice details, Solid materials and well constructed, Plenty of space, Pushes lots of air - 2x 200 mm, Top fan may be replaced by 120 mm units - great for radiators, Screw-less system for optical drives, Simple but well constructed hard drive trays, Front covers can easily be removed, Great cable routing possibilites, Thumb screws for mainboard expansion slots, Extra expansion slot for further expandability, Side window can hold two 120 mm fa...
Cons: Fairly heavy, Fans are quite loud, Plenty of openings means that the noise of internal parts may be a problem
Summary: The HAF-922 midi tower from Coolermaster is in my opinion a very nice chassis indeed. The build quality and construction is very good, and what's more it offers nice features, great looks as well as good air-flow. I have to say, when the oringinal HAF-932 full tower was first released last year, I was pretty reserved about its design and looks. But when Coolermaster produced the HAF-922, I can see it being an instant hit amongst the gamers and enthusiasts.
Pros: - Good build quality, - Compact Midi Tower, - Good air-flow and cooling, - Red LED fans, - Screwless Design, - Optional windowed side panel, - 5 x 5.25" bays, - 5 x 3.5" bays
Summary: Last year the Cooler Master HAF 932 earned our Seal of Approval for incorporating many of the features of their more expensive line of cases into a full tower chassis that was more affordable to the masses. Cooler Master has continued along that direction in designing the smaller HAF 922 for those looking to save even more on a case that's not quite as big.
