Exactly what I expected, with a few nice surprises

Einar O., Newegg
28 August 2015
  • Pros: Did a lot of research before purchasing this case. Wanted quite, but was on a budget. This was the best case for the money at the time. I have no plans to upgrade this case. Since it's sealed up for quietness it also seems to keep the junk out. When I open up the case to add peripherals, it's not...
  • Cons: My only complaint is that my USB ports fell apart, literally. The USB ports on the top front of the computer. The up side is that I was able to purchase a replacement kit from their service department at a reasonable price. It was a bit of a hassle to replace but didn't require anything beyond or...

CM Cosmos RC 100: Still working flawlessly after 7 yrs

Anonymous, Newegg
15 January 2015
  • Summary: I bought this case in March 2008. Fast Fwd 7 years later, the only thing that's left of my original Intel Core 2 Extreme QX9650 on a GA-P35-DS4 & Gigabyte NVIDIA GTS-8800 GPU is the case.
  • Pros: 1. Two bottom ventilators with filters. 2. Extremely well made, 3. Sleek, 4. High Quality, 5. Looks wonderful, 6. Ample Space, 7. Allows for a quiet system
  • Cons: No SSD bays. (SSD's did not exist back in 2007) You have got to use an aftermarket 5 1/2 inch tray to house your SSD in one of the 5 1/2 inch bays.

Perfect full tower case

Justin R., Newegg
28 July 2014
  • Summary: This is quite possibly the greatest case of 2007-2008 era.
  • Pros: Very large, made of high quality material, power and reset buttons feel premium-made, has lots of space for expansion for even the biggest of graphics cards. Has a multitude of front panel connections which include four USB 2.0 ports, an eSATA port, FireWire, HD audio and mic. Side panels are pop...
  • Cons: It is very heavy but I guess that is not really much of a con as it is, per say a statement of its great craftsmanship.

Still great

Leonard K., Newegg
24 April 2014
  • Summary: If you are still reading this review and you can find one of these cases used don't hesitate to pick one up. They seem to hold up very well to age and abuse so you can't go wrong.
  • Pros: I'm not really sure why I am leaving this review as the case is no longer available, but I figured I would leave my input anyway. I bought this case in 2009! 5 years ago... I use it for my work PC and even to this day I still get comments from clients amazed at it's size and looks. When this thin...
  • Cons: To me this isn't a con and anyone reading descriptions will know better, but this case is quite heavy even empty. I didn't bother to go back and look at it's weight, but with a pc parts in it the tower has quite a bit of weight for being aluminum. To me that just shows it's craftsmanship :)

User Review

Austin C., Newegg
5 July 2012
  • Summary: Can't stress the risk that comes with this case. It's a big investment to make on something that you can't guarantee will work.
  • Pros: I want to love this case. Multiple Hard drive bays, Great Cooling, Spacious, Quiet, More than enough tools to get everything set up.
  • Cons: However, The doors on the case never lock, the lock mechanism is faulty plastic, the front ports are finicky and prone to malfunction.

Best case I have ever had, but HUGE!

Brandon P., Newegg
28 October 2011
  • Summary: This is a big 'ol case, I knew it was big going it, but was pretty blown away when I actually received it. It is huge. Other than the little niggles in the cons, I am very happy with the purchase. I would buy a Cooler Master case again.
  • Pros: Absolutely stunning looking case. Very sleek and clean. It is huge, but it does give you plenty of room to put whatever you want in there. It is also pretty heavy, but very well built aside from the front panel.....more on that in the cons. The handles on top make moving the case a snap (just mak...
  • Cons: Just a couple and they are pretty minor. 1. The power supply is located on the bottom, which isn't a big deal, but unplugging it if it is back up against a wall kind of a pain. 2. The front panel kind of 'came loose' after a few months. It is still usable, but when you plug in a USB cable it kind...

I love it!

Daniel S., Newegg
26 July 2011
  • Summary: This case will last the rest of my life if I don't abuse it. - MSI Big Bang-XPower - Core i7-950 & Corsair H50 cooler (w/push pull fans) - CORSAIR XMS3 12GB (6 x 2GB) DDR3 1600 - 3way SLI MSI N470GTX with Koolance water blocks - CORSAIR CMPSU-1200AX 1200W - 2X Western Digital WD1002FAEX 1TB in RAID...
  • Pros: - Lots of room - Good air flow - Quiet - Solid
  • Cons: I took away one egg for the door latch but it is fine if you apply grey matter. In order to make the latch close securely you have to remove a little foam where the door contacts the latch bar and press hard just over the bar to make it snap all the way closed, you can tell when the release lever...

Great case

Janna I., Newegg
14 March 2011
  • Summary: If you do want to overclock, then it can be a great case, with a few cheap modifications. The case is beautiful, and runs nice and quiet. MB : Asus P6T Deluxe v2 Intel X58 CPU: Intel i7-920 OC'd to 3.8Ghz (200x19 @ 1.28V) GPU: EVGA GTX 285 OC'd to 702 / 1584 / 2646 RAM: Corsair Dominator 12GB...
  • Pros: Nice roomy case.. good airflow if you do the following: Replace all three fans with Scythe S-FLEX SFF21E 120mm fans. If you are doing overclocking, but don't know a ton about water cooling, then pickup the new Eco from coolit. Install the fan on it to pull air into the case instead of it's defaul...
  • Cons: Airflow out of the box box is great if you are not overclocking, and playing solitaire with a built in Graphics chip *grin*
