Not sure there's a better 4U case for the $

Brian C., Newegg
11 April 2015
  • Pros: Nice long case that holds even the 12"x13" motherboards. Seems to get great airflow. Plenty of room to work as you install things. Heavy, solid construction. Included plenty of screws. I don't think you can find a better 4U case at this price.
  • Cons: It only includes the front 120mm fan. There are spots for two 80mm fans in the rear that you will need to buy separately. (I use the Arctic F8.) It also does not include any rails for rackmounting, but few server cases do. There are four small screws that hold the lid on, would be nice if the one...

You wont regret it!

Oleg D., Newegg
16 February 2015
  • Summary: I had originally purchased the cheaper case with no front door but the company messed up the order and shipped me the one with the door and im happy to keep it. The dust filters are a great option. I will most likely consider purchasing other Chenbro products to fill out my rack.
  • Pros: Right out of the box, I noticed how solid the case was. Chenbro takes great care to package these cases very well and even though my box arrived mangled (Thanks FedEx) everything inside was perfect. The front swing down door is very solid. Required a few repetitive openings and closing to make it...
  • Cons: Doesn't come with any instructions which isn't enough to take off an egg because other accessories available are printer on the inside flaps of the shipping box and the rest was very easy to figure out.

Love this Modular Design

Larry W., Newegg
21 November 2014
  • Summary: I bought this case because of it's incredible ability to handle a variety of fans (40 mm, 80mm, 120mm) and the ability to install as many as 15 fans (or more) and oodles of hard drives.
  • Pros: Modular Design. Ability to handle up to 48 mobile hard drives. That's 96 TB's! Extra long case allows for very neat wiring and additional fans. Air flow possibilities -- front to back--are fantastic. Everything aligns perfectly. Never seen a better fit. Never. Top cover slides off very easily. Mo...
  • Cons: Absolutely none.

No accessories?

Lianqi W., Newegg
8 October 2014
  • Pros: The only server chassis with 8 expansion slots. Good for 4 double width GPUs
  • Cons: The chassis I got is new, but none of the accessories, as shown in the figures, are found. Not even the motherboard support screws.

Good basic server case

Gaylla h., Newegg
13 May 2014
  • Summary: Did allot of searching before settling on this case. For the money this case is hands down the best feature set I could find. Lots of space and plenty of fan locations make this case a great choice.
  • Pros: Generally well built case. The fit is good and the boards fit well. Plenty of spaces for fans which is great when being used for say a dual processor server. Good general layout as well. This is not like say a HP or old Sun server case by any means but for the cheap price it is hard to beat. Boug...
  • Cons: Only thing that really comes to mind is the tight space in front of the center vent fan in front of the drive stack. The fan is very close to the wires for the lights/switches on the front. A shield is needed to keep the wires from getting rubbed by the fan blades and the hub of the motor.

  • Summary: Chenbro makes the higest quality case for your money. Dont waste time and money on any other case in this price range, Aluminum and plastic? umm no thanks..
  • Pros: Same as the RM423 but a few inches deeper. These Cases have alot of options and asre very well built. I usually buy the RM423, but need a case with a few more inches of depth.
  • Cons: Sorry New Egg you lost a few sales today.. : (

Amazing

Paul E., Newegg
6 March 2012
  • Summary: NEWEGG!!!! BRING THESE BACK!!!!!
  • Pros: Amazing Case! Can't believe NewEgg deactivated these. I LOVE this case. Extremely well built and thought out. Imagine Apple building a PC rackmount case.
  • Cons: There are a lot of small screws for everything. But they even give you all the screws in separate bags with tags that let you know what it's for. Awesome. (Guess it's not a con)
