  • Summary: Arctic Cooling, maker of the coveted VGA silencer series also make PC-cases. Where thermodynamics and air-flow are concerned their Silentium-T2has to be one of the most astute engineering designs we?ve seen. The case is an all steel affair sporting a slightly under powered integrated 350W PSU and is relatively small, but still may have some serious potential. Let?s just see how much.

  • Conclusion: The Arctic Cooling Silentium T2 Case can be classified as a unique chassis that has been specifically designed for consumers looking manage performance cooling and noise reduction. The overall construction of Silentium T2 is well done using a combination of 0.8mm SECC steel with hard formed plastic parts. In terms of appearance, the silver and black combination looks great and gives the product a very modern appearance that would suit any desk.
  • Pros: Aesthetically pleasing design, 350 watt power supply included, Tool-less rail system for component installation, Very quiet ACF3 fans included, Aluminum HD enclosure included, Excellent air circulation, Dual front USB 2.0 and Audio ports
  • Cons: Cramped interior for full sized ATX motherboards, Custom installed PSU cannot be easily replaced, Right side panel is not accessible, Plastic clip on aluminum HD enclosure is fragile, No removeable motherboard tray

  • Summary: The Silentium T2 was quite an interesting product to review. Its advantages and nuances are not immediately obvious from a cursory glance. Unfortunately, its main disadvantage is obvious as soon as the power supply is turned on; the power supply fans are significantly louder than the exhaust fan, despite both pairs of fans being identical models.

  • Conclusion: Das Arctic Cooling Silentium T-2 Case konnte uns überraschen, für den Preis von knapp unter 80 € so viele pfiffige Lösungen und dann noch ein hochwertiges Seasonic Netzeil gleich dazu, da mußten die Marketing Strategen von Arctic-Cooling sicherlich so maches Gefecht mit den Technikern austragen.
  • Pros: sehr schickes Outfit., hochwertige Verarbeitung., durch Gewicht bedingte gute Eigendämpfung des Gehäuses., Lüfter ermöglichen ausgezeichnete Kühleigenschaften., entkoppelte HDD-Dämmbox., sehr stabiles Netzteil mit hoher Effizienz. (von Seasonic), ausgezeichnetes Preis-Leistungsverhältnis (ca. 80 €)., sehr kompakt., hohe Mobilität.
  • Cons: keine PCI-Expressanschlüsse und nur ein S-ATA Connector., unter Last recht laute Lüfter., wenig Platz für zusätzliche Laufwerke., Netzteiltausch nicht ohne weiteres möglich., mageres Handbuch.
