Decent for moving

ROBERT W., Newegg
1 July 2014
  • Summary: I will continue to use this for users that want/need cubes with limited HDD (3 or less) needs. I suspect that letting it sit in a media-stand or tucked on a bookcase next to the work-desk will give the thin side metals a better lifespan than using that handle.
  • Pros: The removable motherboard tray solves many assembly and post-assembly/upgrade issues. Apevia could use Version 3 with a bit more attention to SSD possibilities without removing any currently-available drive-spaces - there's plenty of room for another set of screw-holes! This case is great for the...
  • Cons: Flimsy cover-material will show dings. In a way, if they'd used plain aluminum foil, that'd be easier to replace. For a case that comes with a handle - obviously with mobility in mind - the all-metal sides will eventually show nicks and dings. I have no idea what the Window Sides would be like - ...

Nice but screws spilled inside

Cameron T., Newegg
19 September 2013
  • Summary: I've bought at least a dozen of these for our shop over recent years. This one came with the little plastic bag of screws emptied out into the whole thing. What a mess. I could have RMA'd but instead spent a half hour taking off the front panel and even removed the PS to shake every last screw free.
  • Pros: Price and features. 500w PS. temp LCD's, attractive, cooling fans....
  • Cons: cheap packaging for hardware. Deserves 5 eggs but this one made me mad all because of a little plastic bag.

User Review

Cindy V., Newegg
18 December 2012
  • Summary: I would certainly buy again. I can see potential problems for anyone putting in a graphics card or a large CPU fan, although there is clearance, you could have cable and cooling problems. Second time I have used Apevia for a budget build, and have not been disappointed.
  • Pros: Power supply seems good, also note, it comes with 4 sata connectors, not 2 as the Apevia website shows. Motherboard mounted nicely on the removable Tray. Box seems quite sturdy, plenty of room inside, and easy cable management. Only 2 Fans, but they keep it very cool. I have an A10 APU with the s...
  • Cons: LCD display, the blue backlight flickers now and again, sometimes stays off, and sometimes on, but the display itself is fine.

Great little box

Anne D., Newegg
20 October 2012
  • Pros: The motherboard tray slides out, making it really easy to install the mb. there's a detachable metal tray for the HD. I like that it has a heat sensor with led read out on the front. I'm currently using two of these in an esxi whitebox cluster, works beautifully.
  • Cons: I bought two of these, and on one the temp led was non-functional. I hate it when stuff shows up broke...just a drag getting it rma'd for a broken led. Unfortunately I'll have to go through the manufacturer to get it replaced as I didn't even unbox the thing for over 30 days after I purchased.

Looks good, works good

Morgan M., Newegg
14 December 2011
  • Summary: I had no issues with the power supply. Running a Sandy Bridge I5 with 3 drives and discrete video.
  • Pros: Looks great and worked as advertised. Runs dead quiet.
  • Cons: The 3.5" slot is a bit tight (narrow) and as others have mentioned the metal is a bit thin. But it sits on a desk not a bomb range.

Look elsewhere!

Scot m., Newegg
4 November 2011
  • Summary: Please, please....rethink your case and spend some more money for a better case. I wish I had!
  • Pros: Nice looking case.
  • Cons: Power Supply would not work with my new Asus mobo. Luckily I had a spare PS I could use. 2nd day I had it the cheap little black screen on the left side came unglued and loose. I had to take super glue to it....twice since then.

Right Design Wrong Components

Matthew L., Newegg
31 October 2011
  • Pros: Compact Size, Temp Display, Front Panel Design and Functionality, Use of space internally.
  • Cons: Power supply burned out after a year, litterally caught fire. I checked with the mfg and there are no recalls for the pwr supply. Front USB ports became unusable. The front venting screen is glued on loosely. The front facia cannot be removed.

Great product

Denver G., Newegg
24 June 2011
  • Summary: Built this to sell to my customers, did not disappoint, I was expecting to build a cheap upper end workstation with a low end GPU(because of space restrictions) but i was not expecting my GTX 460 SOC to fit, let alone get good enough ventilation, though i didn't try that until the stock psu failed...
  • Pros: EXTREMELY well ventilated, have an AMD Athlon II x4 640 overclocked to 3.4Ghz with stock fan,(with separate power supply), is also capable of handling the heat coming from an overclocked GTX 460 all temps stay under 60c at full load
  • Cons: power supply completely failed(-1 star) after 3 days of expected performance, setup at the time was athlon 640 (3.0Ghz), 6GB DDR3 1333, seagate sata 500GB 7200rpm, samsung DVD-RW sata, geforce GT 430 (non oem 6 pin), rosewill PCI wifi-n card I feel that this line power supply is not bad, but i ju...

Great case for a niche

Dustin A., Newegg
13 June 2011
  • Summary: I just converted my little gaming lanbox into a full size case after 3 years. This case did serve well but the build quality is a bit low. Vent covers fell out, the temp monitors never displayed correctly, it was a very tight fit for a gaming rig.
  • Pros: Stays cool even under heavy loads. Very portable - front handle is surprisingly secure. Can still fit a decent size video card. Internal rails were great for ziptie cable management. Served me well for 3 years.
  • Cons: By all reviews the Power Supply is prone to shorts that can fry your motherboard so I tossed in a Cooler Master supply without ever connecting it. Given that the company includes the cost of the PS in the case price I feel this is a legitimate complaint. Front vent covers both broke off within 6 ...
