Cute, flimsy box

Gregory C., Newegg
7 January 2011
  • Summary: Case actually seems to run cooler with the lid on, so don't put off final assembly for too long. Based on the price, I have a hard time believing the power-supply is of much quality. I would have much rather had the case only, and not have to pay for the power supply.
  • Pros: The case itself is fairly light. The stock fans are all pretty quiet. Has room for 2 double-wide, extra long video cards. I've got quite a bit of equipment stuffed into this box -- not much room left over, but you can definitely fit everything needed into this box. The case itself looks fairly se...
  • Cons: Entire chasis is made out of fairly thin sheet-metal - in fact it's probably the flimsiest case I've ever seen. There is not much reinforcement between the front and the back faces of the machine. The front plastic bezel seems very fragile. Some of the screws are on really tight, and my philips s...

Like the case

Anonymous, Newegg
7 January 2011
  • Summary: i do minor gaming and stream movies and wanted an adult looking case.. i took a reviewers advice and turned the rear 120 fan inward and replaced the 80mm front fan turning it outward and did notice a drop in temps. i also took another reviewers advice and grounded the front bezel to the frame.
  • Pros: attractive case, easy to transport, front digital displays.
  • Cons: i have no cons with this case. i knew what to expect.

Cheap and Cramped

Dakota B., Newegg
11 December 2009
  • Summary: I would love to return this for a refund, but I've owned it for too long, and it wasn't until about 2 months that I started encountering problems. Don't buy this piece of junk, there are much better cases out there that don't lock you into a micro atx motherboard.
  • Pros: Decent power supply, fashionable
  • Cons: Cramped, don't plan on putting a decent GPU in here unless you have barbie sized fingers to plug everything in. I don't know what they were thinking with the power supply. The cables barely even fit in the case. It's cheap, and bad design. If you want to work on your computer, you've gotta discon...

Like the case, the power supply is awful though.

Anonymous, Newegg
30 October 2009
  • Summary: I'm waiting on the third Apevia power supply but I don't have much hope, and they refuse to upgrade me to a different model without me paying an upgrade fee. If you buy this case, absolutely get a different power supply, the Apevia one just isn't any good compared to other true 500w power supplies.
  • Pros: Great looking case, easy to install your gear in.
  • Cons: The power supply is awful. Had a no name 500w power supply in my old box that ran all my equipment fine. The Apevia power supply worked fine until I ran a 3D game, then "POP!". After that it would only light up for less then a second after pressing the power button. Got an RMA from Apevia easily ...

User Review

Corey C., Newegg
13 August 2009
  • Summary: Great case, besides the noisy fan. Cheap fix though. I'll be back with another review if something goes wrong.
  • Pros: Beautiful case, handle is great, plenty of ports on the front. Temp sensor is easy to read. Pull out Motherboard tray comes completely out of the case to make it even easier to install.
  • Cons: This thing is an angry bumblebee. Main fan beside the power supply sounds like a small two-stroke engine. I can't tell if it's just that one though, or if the one in the front is noisy as well.

I Love This Case

Anonymous, Newegg
31 July 2009
  • Summary: I was doing this build for my older brother cause he is going to college. His college colors are purple and gold. So naturally this was the case to pick. i rigged it up with a 8cm purple led fan, 2x 12in UV cold cathods (Not the dual kit. The more powerful singular ones.) , and 2x laser leds.
  • Pros: The case looks good. Had exactly what i need for the job. Love the temp lcd at the front. No dents or dings the metal also didn't feel flimsy.
  • Cons: The airflow with the stock fans might not be the greatest but i wouldnt know cause i didn't risk it. i took out both stock fans i favor of more powerful ones. But I was just being precautious. I only put in one 5.25 drive so i took advantage of the extra space to cleanly hide the wires. if u want...

Love this case ....

William M., Newegg
18 July 2009
  • Summary: I have had this box for 2+ years & still going strong. AMD 3800+ CPU, stock HSF, nothing fancy, hangs around 32C idle, maybe 40C loaded. sweeeeeet ....
  • Pros: Looks great, runs cool, moves plenty of air. Nice packaging, room for plenty of stuff in a fairly small footprint.
  • Cons: It wasn't free ????

Great Case

Anonymous, Newegg
18 May 2009
  • Summary: Bottom Line, great case for an micro ATX computer. Newegg, LEARN TO SHIP PROPERLY!
  • Pros: Great Design, Light weight, Great Features. The PSU that came with it, throw that away right away, its a piece of junk. Buy yourself a nice one.
  • Cons: Only thing I have found wrong was how Newegg shipped this item. They did an absolute horrible job of shipping this. I paid good money to ship this item and the packing was horrible.

not bad, but not great

Brandon K., Newegg
17 April 2009
  • Summary: I'd go with a micro atx mid tower instead of this. expensive, doesn't make the cut! I got it for free, I'd never buy another Apevia product after owning 2 of them, quality is not their thing.
  • Pros: Unique case, attractive
  • Cons: flimsy material, doesn't provide decent cooling, stock fans are a joke, stock power supply is junk, screens pop off with minimal pressure, plexi scratches very easily... horrible paint (scratches off really easy). the included hardware is junk too, strips out in the cheap metal! Using front usb s...

The perfect balance

Andrew K., Newegg
12 April 2009
  • Summary: If you buy this case you will need to invest in a few fans to keep the air moving. An Ultra KAZE should do the trick.
  • Pros: It's small, lightweight, sturdy, and CAN hold high end GPUs! Other reviews mention flimsy metal, however mine came with sturdy aluminum and an overall solid feeling design. The added fan in front increases desperately needed airflow. The case is completely collapsible making it easy to switch out...
  • Cons: - Very little room for CPU coolers! Stick with the Zalman 7K series for this one. - Uses Apevia fans which aren't so good in my opinion - Airflow is atrocious, but replacing the 120mm fan with an Ultra KAZE works well - Temperature gauge's are VERY VERY delicate!! (on my second RMA) - I have to S...
