Apevia X-QPACK2 SFF Case w/500W PSU Video Review

3dGameMan.com
15 June 2008
  • Summary: If you attend a lot of LAN parties and you are carrying around your heavy and cumbersome tower case, it might be time for a Small Form Factor Case (SFF). The Aspire X-QPACK2 SFF Case comes in a variety of different colors, has 3 windows, excellent air circulation, comes with a removable motherboard tray and even includes a 500W PSU. This case is also all aluminum, which makes it very lightweight. Watch the video to find out more and check out the bloopers at the end.

Apevia X-QPack 2

techPowerUp!
18 October 2007
  • Summary: The Apevia X-QPack2 does feature a lot of smaller improvements when compared to the first iteration, the X-QPack. The new handle is made of metal instead of plastic, which was one of the biggest downsides for LAN party fans. There is nothing worse as your gaming rig lying in front of you in pieces, because of a weak handle. The aluminum front adds to the quality and the new colors give the buyer a much better choice than the original.
  • Pros: Very good price, Nice blue LED fans, Great LCD and connectors up front, mATX format gives you a lot of choice, Well constructed front, Removable cables to front connectors, Solid metal handle to carry case around, Slide out mainboard tray, Even larger aftermarket coolers fit, Should fit larger graphic cards as well!, Two fans within the chassis, Many available colors, A lot of space for such a small case
  • Cons: Loud fans, Audio mainboard header still a problem, No punch outs in the back for legacy connectors, Plastic front, Fairly sharp edges, Mainboard tray will cause problems with coolers using a backplate, Does not fit fullsize ATX motherboards

Apevia X-Q-Pack 2

OverClock Intelligence Agency
11 May 2007
  • Summary: The front panel LCD lights up blue, matching the blue LED fan in the rear. Because the temperatures are determined by where you place the probe they may not be as accurate as the built-in sensors in the CPU core and SMART HDD themselves. It might be a nice idea to be able to place the probes elsewhere to monitor case or chipset temperatures for example, but then the label on the LCD would be wrong. Maybe it would be better if it just read Temp1 and Temp2.

Apevia X-QPack 2

XSReviews
15 February 2011
  • Conclusion: While the case is advertised as being easily carried around which should scream to the LANer, the restrictions on graphics card and the CPU cooler will prevent any overclocking or extreme performance parts. The strength of the case is also another worry, if you were to be a little rough with it, you could easily end up with bent sides and dents. While the case looks nice, it’s a little flimsy and not very tactile as most of the panels are easily bent.
  • Pros: Looks great, Enough space for the average PC, Windowed case
  • Cons: Limited CPU cooler size, Flimsy

APEVIA X-QPack 2 Review

PCMHZ
7 October 2008

Hardware.no
19 June 2008

Test: Apevia X-Qpack2

Gamereactor
2 November 2007

  • Cons: - Lieferumfang
