Durable and Outstanding Case

Anonymous, Newegg
30 June 2014
  • Summary: I ordered ground UPS shipping and when the delivery driver delivered this case the box was dented and ripped open on all of the corners. I opened the mangled box and pulled out the case. I was dissapointed to find that the top of the case is unhinged and not secured like it was intended to be. My guess is UPS rough handled the box and broke the top of the case loose. I know it's not newegg's fault and I love the case, but beware!
  • Pros: Beautiful Blue LED's and most of all durable. I love all the fans and it really cools things down. 35C I removed the HDD cages to fit my H110's radiator. Amazing space
  • Cons: The top feels a little cheap and flimsy. Read below for more details.

A very good case for gamers

Hector, Amazon
11 June 2014
  • Summary: I have been using this one for quite some time and I am VERY pleased with it. For the prize you very much get your moneys worth. I know that there are some TOP NOTCH cases out there, but if you consider the ratio of the prize to what this case offers, you get a good deal. It has very good ventilation. The setup is easy and the overall case is well built.

Adequate case.

Michael R., Newegg
11 June 2014
  • Summary: It wouldn't take much from Antec to turn this beast into a powerhouse of a case, in my opinion. - Add a simple mounting point, immediately beneath the large top-mounted fan, for mounting a liquid cooling radiator to. - Use higher quality plastic. The plastic used in this case seems to be very flimsy and cheap, resulting in easily-damaged mounting points within the case's structure. This resulted in both cases I received being damaged in the same way and same spot.
  • Pros: Case is large; there is plenty of room for all of your HDDs, SSDs, optical drives, and more. There is plenty of room for cabling, even with multiple large GPUs. +1 Egg Adequate cooling: The case comes stock with an adequate number of fans that provide sufficient air cooling to keep your components running within safe temperatures. Dust filters are built-in to front-facing fans, to help reduce dust build-up. +1 Egg Quiet-ish: Despite the size and quantity of the fans p...
  • Cons: Poor craftsmanship: Antec's craftsmanship seems to be slipping. This is the 6th or 7th straight Antec case I have used in a build, but only the second Twelve Hundred. The first Twelve Hundred I used was outstanding. This one, on the other hand, is not. I was forced to RMA the first one I received with this order, due to the case arriving physically damaged beyond usefulness. NewEgg replaced the case without trouble, but even the second case received was damaged. Havin...

Antec 1200 V3

Aaron A., Newegg
12 May 2014
  • Summary: The top of the case seems flimsy, but seems to hold solid to the case. Love the wire management too.
  • Pros: All the fans come with manual control modules, plenty of drive bays and fans too cool it. 6 led lit fans, very sleek sturdy case.
  • Cons: The 3 front fans could be mounted better, nothing major.

Turn off that light!

Betty E., Newegg
7 May 2014
  • Summary: Can I get one without any lights at all? I do have ambient lighting options, and I'm not deaf.
  • Pros: Solid case with front panel solidly connected.
  • Cons: Does it ever occur to the people that design these things that blue flashing laser lights in my peripheral vision might not be the biggest selling point in the world?

Almost completely perfect

Andrew C., Newegg
13 April 2014
  • Pros: This is my first and (apparently) case I'll ever need. The cooling is incredible and saved me money on a liquid system while the space made my tech-impaired brain extremely calm while putting the PC together. I was initially worried about the noise that 6 fans would make but I was amazed at how quiet it is even after the 2+ years I've owned it. As long as you lift it correctly this this is indestructible. (Only weak point is already mentioned it's no good trying to li...
  • Cons: Fans take work to clean. Both side panels need to be removed (unless you plan ahead and only screw in your hard drive(s) on one side which is completely secure I can guarantee. This thing is heavy which is really a pro for stability but a con if you're short on space. Top fan is relatively useless and a waste of space/power (as heat rises) would be better off as a simple grate. As you can tell, no technical/useful cons were listed as it's exactly what I wanted and wel...

User Review

thomas h., Newegg
18 March 2014
  • Pros: Simple tough looking case with great air flow keeps my computer nice and cool. plenty of space to work with
  • Cons: While the case is metal and sturdy the top is stiff brittle plastic and while on my table on its side installing motherboard etc the bit that holds the top on broke. Lucky for me the screw with the huge metal washer didn't fall out while it was running. The top sits on the pc and is functional that's why I only knocked 1 egg off This pc sits on the ground beside my desk and the dust cover on the top fan has hole big enough for a pencil or paper clip to easily pass thr...

One Tough Case!

Lance E., Newegg
8 January 2014
  • Summary: This is an incredible case. Up until recently I knew it was a good case already. But then one day when i was getting ready to work on it I put it down on an unsteady chair. The chair tipped over and the heavy beast made the lowest crash I'd ever heard. Thought I was a goner, the plexiglass was broke. Plugged everything in, and it was fine. So yeah, this case saved my computer since it's so strong.
  • Pros: * Durable as all get out. * So many fans keep it very cool
  • Cons: * Heavy with no good way to hold it. I wouldn't be if surprised if this is the heaviest case you can buy. * More fans than my motherboard could handle until I got a fan controller

Great Case with some minor Issues

Griffith S., Newegg
2 January 2014
  • Pros: -Cooling is extremely effective -You cannot here the fans at low speeds, and they are still effective -Lighting is really cool looking -The cable for the usb 3.0 has a way to connect it to a usb 2 and usb 3 port on your motherboard (Only usb 3 speeds if plugged in with the usb 3 header)
  • Cons: -It is a full tower case and the biggest motherboard it can fit is atx! Ridiculous! -Had to really work to get my Sapphire r9 280x toxic (the yellow and black one) in -Have not been able to get the front audio and microphone jacks to work, this may not be the case's fault. -I couldn't get the side panel on again because one of the metal pieces that keeps the side panel in place was bent, however, this was easily fixed with a pair of pliers. -Fans are to loud above low...
