Summary: I've owned mine for many years, and it's done a decent job of doing what it's supposed to do. I even added a couple of 80mm fans to the side panel with no issue. I ended up taking out the filters because they ultimately hurt more than they helped. I've never had an issue with a part being too large.
Pros: The thing is HUGE. It'll fit everything you've got and then some. In addition, it's got a TON of fans, and half of them are filtered. It does a good job at keeping any components inside cool. Bottom mounted PSU is great. LOTS of drive bays, plenty of room for a ton of hard drives. Good cable mana...
Cons: The filters for the fans are a pain to remove. As in, most of the time you won't bother. You see, in order to do so, you have to remove ALL of the hard drive bays. The top 200mm fan is, like most all 200mm fans I've dealt with, unlike any other on the market, so replacing it is a pain. In fact, r...
Summary: I have owned the original case for around 5 years now, with 2 different builds using it. The original was a beast back in 2008, but is now showing it's age significantly in the beginning of 2015.
Pros: +Comes with 5 120mm fans and 1 200mm fan +Side and interior fan expansions available +12 drive slots +Side window +4 filters, 3 in the front and 1 side +Pretty good airflow due to the extreme amount of pre-installed fans +Top storage tray was the perfect spot to hold the various thumb drives and ...
Cons: -3 front fan filters require the removal of 16 thumb screws and side panels, which I eventually stopped screwing in half of them because it was too much of a hassle for cleaning -Case if completely covered in mesh, which although provides better airflow, is fairly difficult to keep clean -The top...
Summary: This is a sturdy and reliable case whose technology has seen its day. Perhaps still works for a multi-drive server build but I suppose there are better tool-less options for that as well. I recently did a new build in a Corsair 750D which is $10 more and it was like night and day.
Pros: It holds 9 3.5 Hardrives in 3 removable drive bays plus 3 3.5 spots for DVD/CD. Each drive bay has a dedicated 120mm filtered fan spot. Super Sturdy! With the 3 drive bay fans, 2 120mm rear fans and that massive exhaust fan on the top, cooling is top notch.
Cons: I probably gave this case a good review a couple years ago when I bought it. However, after using it now for 2 and half years and working with other cases I now see the problems. First, there is limited support for 2.5 SSD's unless you get 3.5 to 2.5 adapters. You can mount 1 with a hokey mount i...
Summary: This case is very heavy and bulky. It's passe. I've bought many of them up to 2 years ago. It's a dinosaur. But something that is easier to handle than this 18 wheeler.
Pros: This case is solid and has lots of room.
Cons: it's very heavy, bulky, and has been on the market too long ... it's past it's significance of providing room for water coolers and fans. There are lighter cases that provide plenty of room for cooling and no one uses water cooling any more since liquid cooling is the way to go.
Summary: I like the case, but the plastic heads on the thumbscrews are annoying and uncomfortable. No where the quality of the old, all metal ones they replaced. You might want to take a fine mill-*** (Idiot file checker doesn't know proper file names) file to break the sharp edges and corners.
Pros: This is a nice, sturdy/strong, well laid out case! I'd get another even with the cons below. Good cooling and filters for the drives, I now have 4 of these cases, Three of the older ones (about a year or so) and the new one.
Cons: Sharp edges, poor quality thumb screws, and no longer comes with the side panel fan installed. IE: They've cheapened the case by cutting corners. They need a better way to clean the filters, but it's a problem common to most of the larger cases. Exceberated by being close to the floor with carpet...
Summary: Note to purchasers/builders. I know the guides say to slot your drives in the bays first. So I will stress this. Also make sure either your mother board comes with a universal ton of 3/4 pin headers or you buy the appropriate 'Y' cables if you are looking to get all of the fans working.
Pros: The case has an over-bun-dance of fans. It's swell that six fans come pre-installed on the case. Plus the lights are awesome. Case has some of the best air flow I've seen, out of the box. The front USB 3.0 ports are baller.
Cons: The case is very heavy without the components (No I don't even lift bro). The 5.25 inch drive bays are fine but the cage that holds the three 3.5 drive bays is very poorly designed in my opinion. The only 2.5 drive mount is at the bottom of the case which makes it extremely hard to plug power con...
Summary: Overall a great case. Purchased for gaming, everything runs at a low temperatures. Would recommend.
Pros: Great cooling/air flow as it should. Lots of room for cable management. +5 eggs overall for performance.
Cons: My only complaint is that the top of the case is held with like 6 tabs. These tabs are made of plastic and quite flimsy. Received my case (with a visibly UNdamaged box) but with 4 of the 6 tabs broken off, resulting in the top not being secure. Seems pretty cheaply made at that point. The rest of...
Summary: Also bought an Antec HCP 1000W PSU. Not sure if the con should be in this review or that one (I'm going to mention it in both) Their "ultimate gaming case" has 7 fans, all using 3-pin fan connectors. When I bought my first 1200 in 2008, they used molex 4-pins.
Pros: The CPU cutout is a nice feature for installing CPU coolers. I like that spare length from the PSU cables can be "tucked into" the HDD bays on the bottom, it helps clean up the inside of my case some.
Cons: Compared to my old 1200 case, the panels just don't seem to fit as nicely. They pop out as soon as the screws are removed.
Summary: look else where if this is your price range
Pros: It is a large a advertised
Cons: just not an intuitive case, the manual isnt terribly helpful either. its solid enough, but i had high expectations of something with a 200+ mm fan on it, just does not move air, even in the room is ~40F
Summary: I would recommend this case as it has large amounts of space. Although, be sure to check your PSU cable lengths.
Pros: The case is HUGE but that is to be expected with a full size tower. Plenty of fans with filters. and USB 3.0 on the front.
Cons: The USB 3.0 connector, the double connector, is extremely flimsy. Be very careful or you will end up with only 1 front USB 3.0 instead of 3. Still waiting to hear back to see if I can get that piece replaced.
