Poorly designed top!

Rizwan A. Rahmani, Amazon
24 March 2015
  • Summary: I have always liked Antec and we use them extensively in our custom made machines, but this case wasn't put together well. The top cover is not secured properly and all the securing tabs are made of flimsy plastic. It kept popping out every time you tried to grab the top or there was any tug on it.

Poorly packaging leads to frustrations

Jexoteric, Amazon
6 February 2015
  • Summary: I ordered this case, but didn't keep it because it was damaged in shipping. Got a replacement, it was also damaged. I gave up after that point, the packaging for the case just wasn't designed to be shipped.

case is a huge pain

Anonymous, Newegg
28 November 2014
  • Pros: Case is big, lots of space...
  • Cons: Case is horrible for liquid cooling, and the steel is so thin that tightening the fans in the back actually cracked the steel. The case also appears to have a coat of dust underneath the paint, causing it to have bumps and overall a terrible appearance. You cannot mount a 240mm radiator comfortab...

Great cooling, breaks easily

Stefan M., Newegg
4 October 2014
  • Summary: I would recommend this case to someone who is building a computer that is going to be in one spot for a few years and someone that regularly upgrades their computer. I have been using workarounds for my issues with this case for a year and a half now, and it's gotten so complicated at this point...
  • Pros: This case has some of the best air cooling I have ever seen; and with so many fans, how couldn't it? I built my computer almost 3 years ago and have never had any heat related issues.
  • Cons: After around 6 months of using this computer, I plugged a new mouse into the USB 3.0 slot on the front of the case... and the computer shut off after a brief message about a power surge in the USB tray. I tried to boot it up again, but nothing happened. After closer inspection, the prongs inside ...

Poor Paint and Hard to Clean

Joshua T., Newegg
7 July 2014
  • Summary: I do not recommend this case to anyone using liquid cooling of any sort. The radiator mounting configurations will not work. The fans that come with this case are prone to going out. You will regret your purchase.
  • Pros: Well, its big, and had decent cooling.
  • Cons: Ok, time to start nit picking. The paint job is absolutely atrocious. It has tons of dust particles under the paint, causing it to bubble. I am surprised I haven't seen another post on this. However, past the paint job as that really doesn't matter. The case itself is roomy enough to put multiple...

DONT BUY !

JOE SMITH, Amazon
28 April 2014
  • Summary: VERY CHEAP LOOKING PLASTIC CASE THAT LOOKS LIKE A HUGE DUST COLLECTOR. NICE SIDE PANE, BUT I DONT WANT TO CLEAN FANS DAY AND NITE. VERY HEAVY BEAST OF A CASE. WAY TO MUH MONEY FOR WHAT YOU GET WITH THIS OUTDATED CASE. JUST MY HUMBLE OPINION.

Not So Un-Beatable.

Jacob B., Newegg
26 December 2013
  • Summary: If they redesigned there "bays" made it more user friendly, made it more SSD friendly, and made it so you could connect all the fans to a power supply unit, this wouldn't be a bad case.
  • Pros: Its big, full steel, very solid, very roomy, has 5 3speed fans that do move a bit of air + the 200mm fan with a spot for another fan. All fans can be removed and re-placed with something a bit more powerful if needed
  • Cons: Not user friendly. the overall design looks nice but when setting it up takes a little bit to understand how it works. The hard drive "bays" only pull out through the front, so to access your hard drives manually you have to disconnect the fan its attached to, undo all the mounting screws (4+ dep...

Not a fan of this case at all

Jason M., Newegg
9 December 2013
  • Summary: Bought this case almost 4 years ago and now that the x58 is long gone. it's time to upgrade to z87. I will be buying a different case for sure.
  • Pros: Lots of fans and they're still working after 3 years of use. Blue led's are bright and look really nice.
  • Cons: I really don't like this case at all. it's big but not in a good way. It's really tall but not very long at all. My sabertooth x58 sits right on top of the rubber grommets. hdd slots are mounted north and south with the case. Very hard to have any cable management when running 4 hdd's. everything...

Nice case but...

DW, Amazon
4 December 2013
  • Summary: Nice case but... Don't choose the free shipping option because they won't put it in a shipping carton. This is the third Antec case of this style I have used for builds. This is the only one that came in less then perfect shape. It arrived in a timely manor but the top was loose.

Hard to find parts

Joseph H., Newegg
24 August 2012
  • Summary: Much better cases available for the money.
  • Pros: Large open area, plenty of HDD storage
  • Cons: I lost the bag of extra HDD screws for it after about a year. They are not standard length and very difficult to find at the hard ware store. The front screens filters require too much work to get to to clean, making them nearly pointless
